n00b in need of help! Luxon and Kurzick

I just got out of Maatu Keep then i went south to kurzick land. Me and bro enlo talked to an old guy about the urn to defeat shiro. So dos that mean i am now a kurzick? can i change? and when do i get to officially choose? You are an angel among men if you can help me!

Not yet, after you do a luxon mission, then go back to kaineng, you'll get to choose whether you want to continue on kurzick or luxon side.

You can change the choice at any time, and what should change you're choice is
1) You're guild, for AB
2) Armors - 15k kurz/lux are available from after the respective missions, so you'll have to do the one you want to access it
3) The pve skill icons
4) If you like trees or fish

who needs trees... and its TURTLES not fish x.x

once u get upto deciding weather to go luxon or kurzick take a look at the armors if you plan to buy either sets and see which one u like more.

Personally, I'd choose Jade (Luxon) over Tree Houses (Kurzick). But hey, it's up to you.

in my opinion the only ppl who go luxons are title hunters but meh im srue there are some 'Special' Ppl out there

Isn't easier and faster to FFF as a Kurzick than a Luxon, or did I miss something?

doesnt really matter what side you are on, there are noobs on both sides :P And anyway, even when you choose a side, that does not mean you cannot fight for the other side. I am in a luxon guild, but I do have some friends in kurzick guilds with which I AB from time to time...

p.s. I can see this thread evolving in a kurz vs lux flamewar :P

Since people already started the luxon vs kurzick debate, WHY WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO BE A SUXON? The anet gods favor kurzicks. In case of 500-500 AB ties, the win always goes to kurzicks.

On topic: People go KURZICK if they want to FFF since it's faster and easier then Luxon.

Know before you post. Posting when you don't know what you're talking about makes you look like an idiot. When your posts get deleted it doesn't count towards your overall post count. Just so you know...

I always find these Kurzick/Luxon "discussions" to be amusing - in a sad, get-a-life kinda way.

First of all - you don't "become" a Kurzick (or Luxon). If you actually read and/or follow the story line, you are a Canthan or Tyrian (or Elonan) who enters into an "Alliance" with either side. Sort of like an American who becomes an Allie of the British, to fight in Iraq - he doesn't become British.

Secondly - again, if you read/follow the storyline - everyone becomes one big happy family at the end. There's really little point to all the "Kurzick/Luxon sucks" nonsense that the kids blather on about. (My Luxon dad can beat your Kurzick dad! )

Thirdly - it really doesn't matter which side you choose. You are free to do all the quests on both sides. You can use the armor/weapons/skills from both sides - no matter which side you or your Guild is in an Alliance with. You can change sides any time. My Guild was in a Luxon Alliance and is now in a Kurzick Alliance - we don't do AB either way.

As I believe has already been stated, the only real difference is that it is slightly faster to farm faction as a Kurzick than a Luxon. If that doesn't matter to you - just pick the side whose "culture" you like most
