This didn't make sense because if a skill is unlocked isn't it learned. So we gave it a go and sure enough it listed all the skills that he knew (ulocked) and would not allow him to click on any of them for any other gain.
I was going to post this yesterday but wanted to wiki and scratch my head over it before asking another 'GW for Dummies' question. Wiki shed little to no light on this and all I could come up with is that it would work for another character on the account of that profession (does second profession also work?) SO! let me know if this assumption is correct and if so what advantage it would be to have a tome over getting a skill simply by buying it with gold and a skill point. Or the old fashioned way (my personal style) playing through the game and doing quests to earn them.
Thanks again in advance--and for those who followed and contributed to my posts yesterday this should move me out of pre-searing cadet
