1. Is the PvE on an epic scale? (Like WoW)
Not exactly. In PvE, everywhere outside of town is instanced, and you and your party gets its own private copy of the game world. This has a few plus sides to it - you will never have to wait in line to kill a boss, and no random strangers can ever jump out of nowhere and ambush you/steal your drops.

2. Is the PvP affected by gear earned in PvE?(Like WoW was pre-bc )
Only if you take a PvE character into PvP with non-max equipment. Although max equipment is quite easy to come by in PvE and tends to be pretty cheap. There are flashier equipment options available that can be rather expensive, although these are no different in terms of functionality than the commonly available max equipment and don't offer better stats. As a side note, PvP characters are able to generate maxed equipment for no charge.

3. What is the class that is needed most in PvE?
Every party seems to need capable warriors, monks and elementalists. Although all of the professions can be extremely useful in a balanced party, and as you will always have a minimum of 4 character slots feel free to experiment with the professions to find out which ones you enjoy playing.
I would suggest starting out with a warrior or elementalist as your first character; both of these professions are relatively straightforward to pick up and are quite newb-friendly, and will help you learn the basics of game mechanics with fewer growing pains.

4. What is the class that is the best in PvP?
All of the classes are fairly well balanced, with a mix of different strengths and weaknesses. There is no "best" profession that stomps all over everything else - it all depends on how well you play them. You'll only really find out which profession is the best for you if you experiment.
