Third Party Programs: Team Builder

I used to use teambuilder, but with all the warnings of third party programs and account theft by ANet for the past year or so I stopped. Does anyone know if this program is safe to use or if there are any precautions you should take if using it.


I would also like to make a suggestion.

For a game as complicated as guild wars can be when putting teams to together and all the different considerations, skilltypes, classes, attributes, etc. ANet needs to take a look at this program and create a feature like it and add it to the game or sell it as a supplement in their Online store.

My guild still uses TB for creating builds. Since it is not connected with GW (at least, not that I know of, think it has a database of its own), I think it is pretty safe. As for a ingame feature like TB, /signed

The only ones you even have to begin to worry about are ones that interact with GW in some way.

Team builder is a completely seperate program.

Even then not all programs that interact are against the rules, for example Texmod is allowed.

That's not completly true, also programs that aren't connected to GW directly can be used for account theft, every 3rd Party App could include a keylogger, which is pretty dangerous if somebody knows what he is searching for

Yes I apologise I didnt read the OP properly.

And to answer correctly, most will be fine.
Just make sure its nothing "shady" such as bots or whatnot.
Make sure you download it from a trusted source.
And make sure others have downloaded it and gave it the thumbs up.

As long as you dont go searching for programs to give you free gold or anything like that you really shouldnt run into trouble.

I use TB all the time. It is great for PvP(such as this ha weekend coming). I love it and just don't know how I got people with right builds before it. It is stupid friendly so they can just load a build up right off there.
