Sentinel insignia gave me an idea; a warrior requires higher strength to carry or wear the heavier armor. Why not have light and heavy armors? The current armors in the game we'll assume are normal armors. Light armor would have an inherent and permanent speed buff but make you more prone to criticals and give you a lower armor level than the normal type. Heavier armor would reduce the criticals enemies can make on you, but have a permanent inherent speed debuff and a higher armor level than the regular armor type of its kind. The speed buffs are cumulative, to a limit. If light armor had say, a 10% speed boost, then if the fastest a character can go is 33%, the new high would be 43%. A character with heavy armor with a speed debuff of 10% cannot go faster than a character with normal armor going the fastest speed.

No no no!
I don't want GW's armorsystem to turn into another rpg/mmorpg's.
Just gonna make a remark, higher strength to carry more items and heavier armor? Oblivion anyone? (Feather +10 points on self)
If you look at the armor status today it is like they are heavy and light.
Warriors have higher armor couse they need it, Warriors duh!
Rangers have a lighter armor status ect.
Why would you mix the system up, you have runes and insignias to counter the attacks dealth to you and costomize your armor for your Profession.
You can as easily make the "buffs" to runes/insignias instead of making a new armor set system just for the bonuses... In my opinion, in that case we are back in old GW when armors had their own bonuses and there were no insignias...
