COF Average Run
Sarc
I was wondering what the average or "good" time to complete COF in. It just seems whenever I do runs (I just started out being a 600 and have only completed the run once entirely through and then up to level 3) that people start to get jittery and start claiming they wont pay. I know people have the mindset the quicker the better but it seems every time I try to speed it up I end up dying and everyone freaking out and leaving

I have never been a monk in the run but have payed for quite a few and noticed the average time was 40-50minutes.

Im a fairly new runner myself. I run as a 600Rit, it takes me about 70 mins or so, but I usually die at the last keymaster once or twice. That is my weakest spot.
Mr. Undisclosed
dang 70 minutes?!
I'll have to test my times tonight, ym rit is generally 40-50 minutes though.

That's about how long my runs take.

my normal is about 50 mins getting all LoD treasures on the way. Its about 40-45 mins with no treasures.

I'm a complete noob at running CoF hehe.. (I do make it, but it often takes 1,5h+) I don't run ppl due to the time it takes. But as you say; Practice makes perfect. So for a newb at 600, I THINK that 1,5h+ is a good time.

i went from 1.5hrs to 50 min with a week of practice,
youll get the hang of it,
youll get the hang of it,

The answer is simple: don't charge people as long as you are still practising!
If you complete the run and do it well, many will offer to tip you. If not, you still learned something.
The mindset you are talking about is not so much: "C'mon, do it faster!", but rather: "Don't waste my time and expect to get paid for it like a pro!"

Ive done a lot runs in CoF. I in fact time every run I do. Here are my times.
Floor 1 - Best time 6 minutes
Floor 2 - Best time 7 minutes
Floor 3 - Best time 13 minutes
My best time overall for all 3 floors combined was 28 minutes however. Judging by my per floor times I think I can achieve 26 minutes if everything goes well. This is done with a human Smiter partner provided he/she isn't slow at picking up their loot. I can duplicate my times and back up my claims. Also I don't use or need BiP on my Smiter. Bad monks need an out source to babysit their energy.
With a hero Smiter my best overall time was 31 minutes.

I totally agree on this. 90% of the CoF runners are ridiculously slow and don't warrant the money they are asking for. I know this because I pay for these runs on my other characters just out of curiosity. I mean 50+ minutes to do CoF and you want my money? GTFO! I'll find someone better because I value my "time". A good runner can do 2 runs before the average wannabe can finish 1.

I'd like to see this 28 minute run of yours

Next time I'm on you can msg me. However lately I've been extremely busy with real life but when the opportunity arises feel free to hunt me down. Essential Gawd

I could see a 28 minute run. The thing that takes the time is the "optional mobs" people want ( spiders and enchanteds). Really I could see only killing required monsters that 28 is possible.
Drake Keyotte
28 minutes would be the fastest I have ever been run, would like to see that too. No hiddens I imagine, no extras, just a str8 thru to final floor. I can see that I guess
enmitee
many customers want the optional mobs so they have to in turn, take longer

Not worrying about loot and treasure = 30 to 35 min
Worrying about loot and treasure = 40 to 45 min.
I do agree though Byteme! though. If you need bip as a 600 then you are doing something wrong and should ask someone for help.

i almost never use BiP except to speed up my energy recharge after casting all my maintained enchants at the begining of each level, or if i screw up and end a fight with out being at full energy cause 95% of the time i end a fight with full energy and only have to wait for SB to recharge depending on the next mob.
my times.. usualy tween 45mins and 52mins, i listen to the same album each time i run CoF, its exactly 52 mins long and i try to finish befor the album does, usualy i can easily unless i mess up and die at somepoint durring the run.

eww bip? Never!

depends on what customers want
once i had to wait 15 minutes for an irritating guy that wanted a chest at murakai's steward but since the room is full of pop ups i didn't clear it and had no intention of doing so
also depends on chest locations and deaths but it doesn't take longer then an hour for me

30-40 minutes for me.. i guess normally is 40-50 :P

i do it on my 600rt. Just started this week and I average 50-60 minutes. Only have started to get paid for 2 runs. one was 50 minutes the other was 60 for all extras and such. Getting faster every run though. The first few took 1.5 hours and then quickly got down to an hour. I expect to be at 40min in a week or so if i keep up at this rate.
Chocobo1
Whats wrong with BiP? Nothing else useful for the smiter to take. If you are taking UA over BiP I find it odd that you are preparing for deaths. 600ing is literally buttonmashing and walking. Well at least for CoF.
Average times for me would be around 40 minutes, although I hardly ever run it.
