Bonus Items Handling
Auntmousie
First let me say that I *love* having /bonus items. It makes it easy to give heroes a good basic set of equipment.
I know it's not a *big* deal but there's hardly anything in the game that aggravates me more than deleting 12 bonus items after equipping the one I actually typed /bonus to get. Wait, no, scratch that. What's most annoying is when I accidentally double-click on something while doing so, and equip the bonus item, only to delete my character's precious #1 weapon. (Only done that once. Only.)
Meanwhile, I was finishing a mission the other day and left some drops in the last few minutes, knowing I'd get them anyway thanks to that handy little window that pops up after the mission is over... and I wondered...
Would it be possible to have /bonus items come up in a "virtual inventory" window like the mission-completion window? That way, you could drag the one (or more) item(s) you wanted into your actual inventory, then dismiss the window and let them fade back into the ether.

I have 8 bonus items that I can unlock. I have not yet run into this problem, but am quite scared that I someday it may happen to me.

I only have the GotY bonus, but it's still really annoying deleting everything I don't need, though I don't really use bonus items anymore (the shield is the only one with stats worth spit, and I never use Tactics anymore since WY nerf).

Great Idea! I doubt it would be that hard to implement either.

/signed, not fatal but definitely annoying

/signed. I actually like this one better than the other suggestion of checking the bonus items you want to create. Great idea.

Excellent idea. I haven't done what you did yet, but yea, it could happen.

What you call the 'mission inventory' is the Unclaimed Items panel.
And yes. I do see it as the best solution for the /bonus issue.
Type /bonus, the unclaimed items windows appears and it's filled with all your /bonus items.
I think the maximum possible is currently around 15 or so, and the Unclaimed items panel has has 16 slots.
The special items that can be created once (like CE miniatures and so) would still be created in the normal inventory, but bonus items, which can be re-created again and again, would be sent to the unclaimed items panel.
Pick the ones you need, then close the panel, deleting the rest.
If the panel is already shown (like when it appears after a mission) the command would fail with a message, and you would have to either close or hit the Take All button to close the panel and ready it again for the /bonus command.
It's the best possible solution I can think so far to this.

Actually, I could live with minipets etc. appearing in the Unclaimed Items window, as long as they continued to be created until you actually grabbed one. Not sure if that's quite as easy, though... but aren't they created by /special or somesuch?

I've been suggesting the use of an interface similar to the "Unclaimed Items" window for bonus items for a long time. It's just the simpliest and most convenient way to do it.
Just type /bonus to have this window opened.
It would allow player to see all his bonus items, hover mouse over them to read exact stats, then simply drag-and-drop wanted ones to inventory. Also multiple copies of the same item - typing /bonus again would refill the window with missing items, or even better - make them not disappear from there at all!
/signed,
this whole /bonus thing just begs for improvements, even more with the GotY upgrade still being sold as a product in the online store.

I've got preorder items for factions, nightfall, eye of the north, and the game of the year edition. This would help with all the tedious deleting I have to do sometimes

Not sure how many threads exist on this topic so far, but I must say that I really like OP's idea for implementation. Would be a little work, but mostly copying and pasting code as opposed to writing from scratch. (Ok, might be easier to write from scratch than dig through the few probably billion lines of code that is out there, but either way).
