600/smite bonder 2 man team works where?
VitisVinifera
I've done more CoF runs than I can count, the normal way of me, the 600 monk with starter armor and a bunch of prots, and my hero loaded up on smite bonds.
I'm wondering, where else in HM does this work, with the same basic setup? It would have to be somewhere where enchant removal isn't a problem, and kd's or ints aren't a very serious problem (fleeting stability and mantra of resolve would counter).

Wel if you add a ranger in with quickening zepher, greater conflag, and a few other skills you can run Shards of Orr in HM:

600/smite works in a lot of places. As long as the mobs don't have too much healing capacity that they can overcome the damage from your smiter, you can 600/smite pretty much everything.
Interruption can be countered with that mantra, and KD's with fleeting. A combination of both might become problematic aswel tho.
EDIT: Have you already tried to 600/smite snowmen ? because I think that their spells deal 50 damage, meaning they don't trigger spiritbond. And they can daze you aswel.

I luke to use "I am Unstopable!" to counter kd's becuase if u have spell breaker up in many areas you rnt gonna be able to get interrupted etc so u can just switch between resolve and IATS.

600 + smite works great for HM farming raptor nestlings (and angorodons, raptors, storm riders, and that big t-rex like dino) near Rata Sum. Replace e.g. Essence Bond with Mantra of Resolve and you're good to go.
Unfortunately raptor nestling farming is even more boring than CoF farming, but if you've got a high threshhold for boredom...

i have vanquished a couple of places with a guildy with 600/smite
duckboy
ooze pits, another easy dungeon in HM, even easier than CoF since no reversal of dmg to annoy the smiter :-) only thing is u have to go thru an explorale area to get to it, but i did np

a) a safe spot for the smiter
b) a way to kill the raptorpat in front of the nest, they always ended my mantra after 5-6 attacks :/
I ended up 55ing the nestlings without the boss, still a nice income, but killing everything in there would have been way better.
VitisVinifera
thanks for the replies. Snowmen drops suck, so that's no fun. I can do raptors solo with my w/rt.
I'll check out ooze pit.
Vitues: which zones? That's what I'm really trying to get here. Not *IF* it works, but *WHERE* it works. Thanks.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned FoW and UW yet.

u beat me to it I 600/smite UW (HM actually easier...more hits) all the time...my 30-40 min run will clear the chamber (except for terrowebs), the village graspings and coldfires (if I feel daring - but typically just to get to a chest if one's there), all of the random aataxes up the hill from the chamber and over to the behemoths to the left of the chamber (if facing the lost soul)...and all of the ice wastes (unless there is a group of 3 or more coldfires).
In HM, 600/smite can clear the hidden city of ashadim (NF), most of vabbi (keep h/h at zone in to help with leftover priest or hard-to-kill boss, if needed), all of Istan, the vaettirs in eotn (jaga moraine), etc...
Probably a million other places as well, but these are the ones I like to concentrate on..

wow I just vanquished Hidden City on my first try, thanks for the tip gw poster. A few things I noticed about that:
1. There's 1 free slot in the 600's bar, I usually bring mantra of resolve if I'm unfamiliar with the area. It seems there are no interrupts there; what do you recommend in that slot?
2. SB is only necessary vs the stone beetles.
3. All 4 of the bosses are easily farmed (no greens for me my first time through).
4. The mesmers strangely are extremely weak.
5. You really gotta watch the pops, they are in seemingly quiet corridors, the smite bonder can easily get wiped.
6. You really gotta set the smite bonder very far back, towards the back edge of the radar. A few times monsters ran right past me, WELL past me, and to him.
7. The djinss dropped the best loot, but that's based off one run. Wonder what goodies the beetles and hekets drop?
again, thanks for that tip!

Beetles drop geodes..about 1:20 may render a rare stone (diamond/ruby/sapphire) when salvaged. Djinn's drop essences and jeweled weapons, which when salvaged, may turn into whatever rare stone the essence or weapon is named after...I've had good luck with this. Also, did u pick up the treasure chest in the hidden city? It's in the chamber with all of the plant monsters (ibogas, etc.). Djinn's also drop FDS' and scythes, sometimes really good ones. The rest of vabbi is equally as fun. The hekets drop some cool-skin shields (vabbian defenders, etc.) and vabbi is where u can get the best paragon-skin shields imo. Also try Vehjin Mines, lots of black dye has dropped for me there from the mobs of cobalts and behemoths at the beginning and through the cave....have fun and gl... BTW: the mesmers (roaring ether and ether boss) in vabbi are only weak because you used SB against them...otherwise they can sap ur energy very quickly leaving you highly vulnerable to damage...the heket warriors and skree rangers can interrupt a lot, so mantra is recommended...
Mr.Kotte
Hidden City: I might acctualy try this on my Ele as 600HP - I used to farm those Ethers in Mirror of Lyss with perma OF, works lovely.
Vehjin Mines: Are there any interrupts here?

You can pretty much farm anything with that combo, i'm farming all over the place, preferably places nobody farms :P

Pain Inverter is brilliant as an additional source of damage to overcome at least some healing faster than usual, since the 600 usually has 1 free skill slot.
VitisVinifera
did my 2nd vanquish of Hidden City, went much faster. Took Pain Inverter instead of mantra of resolve. That takes the Blue Tongue Hekets (healers) down much faster. One gold, zero greens.
I look forward to trying more of Vabbi here.
deluxe: you CAN NOT farm all over the place with the 600/smite combo, which is the entire purpose of this thread. Again, enchant removes and excessive int/kd, which occurse over MOST of the games, render this combo useless. If you have a specific area(s) you like to farm with this combo, please share the specifics. Otherwise, it's just a +1.

I've vanquished The breach, scoundrel's rise and cursed lands as 600/smite.
I always take a full team with me tho(flagged outside of the screen) in case I can't get a monk down.

in preparation for this weekend, i've been doing runs through Diessa Lowlands to vanquish Flame Temple corridor, then double back and vanquish ascalon foothills. TONS of charr carvings, and some golds, too.
VitisVinifera
vanquished The Mirror of Lyss. Took Pain Inverter. 1 gold, 1 green (Yammiron's Focus). Silly easy. Nothing was a problem. I believe one or two of the new skins drop in Vabbi, but I hear from chests. My understanding is that the items which can drop from a particular chest are the same items that can be dropped by monsters in the vicinity.
Fuzzy: the official posting for the Gaile event is a bit vague, I'm not sure it's the regular big holiday collectibles that we'll be trading in (I could be wrong). My interpretation is that it will be things dropping only this weekend that can be traded. I suppose we'll see. Your take?

i haven't a clue of the collectables - i'm hoping charr carvings, but if the party stuff is dropping, Zelnehlun, raptors and nolani speedfarming (600SS/SBSmite) is all my necro will be doing.

Hodgie wont work. you'd never make it past level 2 with that. reversal of damage will eventually get your smiter to 60dp and a 1 hit ko from it.
and with that particular team setup you could take [skill]protective bond[/skill] and gain 2 e every hit.
edit: on second thought that team could use alot of work :/

I love challenges, for example: I'm farming the good old shiro`ken again, it's hard but doable.
Another example, the afflicted necro's have order of apostasy, when you read the skill discription, you will find that greater conflagration or stone striker will counter that
With some dedication and using your brains you CAN farm anything, to me farming something that people find impossible is more fun than the rewards.

Your smiter should be fine with sig of devo, dont know how much reversal gets spammed in that dungeon. 2. the whole idea of a 600 is that you are taking big damage, (60+) with bond you would be taking half of that, thus dealing just half the damage too. VitisVinifera
just vanquished Vehtendi Valley. Took a while, and had a few lessons to be learned, if you want to vanqfarm this zone.
1. 600 with pain inverter works fine, next time I'll try radiation field--I believe everything is fleshy. Actually might really work wonders here. 2. Many/most mobs have one monk (Blue Tongue Hekets, Kournan healers), and are fairly closely spaced. Pull each mob out so that healers of nearby mobs don't pull themselves. 3. The healers can be tough to take down solo. To save energy for your 1 attack skill, you only need spirit bond up. 4. I got lots of golds, though my green drop rate continues to suck. Lots of plant fibers and collectible drops. edit: part 2: vaquifarmed Yatendi Canyons This one was pretty straight forward. The only problem was 3 Skree Griffins (healers). I basically just had to outlast them. Only used spirit bond, pain inverter when recharged. No greens or golds (one fissure scroll). I like Vehtendi MUCh better. part 3: vanquifarmed Garden of Seborhin All was easy except for Hahan, a WoH monk. I actually killed him with the aid of Ogden's wandspike. Took a pretty long time, and I wanted to get him because he was the last guy in the zone and I wanted the gold reward. No golds, no greens. This zone sucks like Yatendi. Mr None
This is what me and my friend manage to VQ / finish as 600/smite (everything HM):
Hidden City Every zone in NF starter area CoF Shards of Orr Ooze Pit Sepulchre Of Dragrimmar All Vahabi areas (Mirror of Lyss, Forum Highlands etc) UW (you can clear all of it, takes a lot of time) FoW (I tried only Shadow Army and Undead) some Kryta areas (those with Avicaras, Undeads etc) It's easier to say what you can't 600/smite actually. This is what will make it impossible: Spirit of Disenchantment (rit spirit, you can't compete with it) Rending Touch (dervish skill) Life Stealing necroes (several of them in a group will drain you in no time) Well of Profaine necroes (you lose all enchants no matter what) GWEN mosters with Monster-only type of skills (I dont remember their names, but they are skills, not spells that make you lose enchantments including SB) EDIT: Remembered one more skill that destroys 600 - Fingers of Chaos (that's why you can't farm Tombs for example) Lot's of enemies with Illusionary Weaponry (mesmer enchantment) My Lipgloss is Cool

Also, the Beach, Spider Cave, Wailing Lord's Forest, and maybe Burning Forest and Lake of Fire if you have the right build
So most of, if not all of, FoW Lest121
I don't know if this was been added, but i am sure someone has done it before, Bukdek Byway can be VQ.
PS:Bring Pain inverter the Rits can be Annoying. Incandecree
depending on the 600 build you can dual smite many many areas
These are my builds that I have run. Smiter is always the same as I am too lazy to change the build. Retribution Holy Wrath Balth Spirit Vital Blessing Purge Signet Healing Signet Rebirth CoF, some of UW: I like using AoS because of the possibility of a full recharge on all skills + condition removal Mantra of Resolve Prot Spirit SoA Spirit Bond Spell Breaker Air of Superiority Essense Bond Blessed Aura FoW, most of Vabbi, essentially anyplace with some type of healer: You can shackle the healer and eventually they run out of energy and will die by melee. You could also use this same build in CoF to shut down the mesmer boss and also Murakai where all she does is wand you. Mantra of Resolve Prot Spirit SoA Spirit Bond Spell Breaker Spirit Shackles Essense Bond Blessed Aura Nahpui Quarter (mission): You can farm the stupid birdmen all day long for their feathers with this one. Shackle the rits and at the opportune time hit them with pain inverter. Energy Drain Prot Spirit SoA Spirit Bond Pain Inverter Spirit Shackles Essense Bond Blessed Aura Glacial Stone farm: I like doing big pulls with this one. Usually you can pull 25 mesmers at a time and kill them. Mind you the bigger the pull the longer it takes to kill them. SV is used to make them scatter. I have found making them scatter leads to more drops (in my experience). It maybe a perception about the scattering. AoS is used to possibly get a quick recharge on your skills and also the deep wound removal Sympathetic Visage Prot Spirit SoA Spirit Bond Spell Breaker Air of Superiority Essense Bond Blessed Aura As what was said before, options for some places: Light of Deldrimor Channeling (if you have problems with energy) "I Am Unstoppable" (for areas with knockdown) Air of Superiority Spirit Shackles Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom Mr None

I prefer Diversion to Spirit Shackles - It's funny to see those Orison Healing spammers sit and wand you with all their skills diverted

i vanquished all of elona, most of tyria (only excluding a few zones due to laziness), CoF, Ooze Pit, Shards of Orr, all but 2 quests in FoW (cnt do forests), all of UW (excluding bone pits, chaos plains, and that place w/ all the terrowebs), almost all missions in elona/tyria, pretty much anything and everything u can think of can b done successfully 600/smite. it all depends on the tanks knowledge of the area, reactions, and skill.
i never got around to doing much in factions due to my account being hacked and every character being deleted >_< but i got a new account now and am working on my new monk so if u have questions u can pm me. ign: i wiggle i Lyssa Apate
I have an Alliance member that runs us: CoF, Ooze Pit, Catacombs of Kathandrax, Rragar's Menagerie (unconfirmed, says he has no time), Oolas Lab (seen it, even with the spirits) and Shards of Orr. Maybe even more.
and of course the regular places that have all been mentioned here can be done 600/smite. Monkey Slayer
I'm gonna have to try some of these areas out, especially Elonan areas, but can't right now. (Stuck at Bone Palace ftl)
I recently finished my 600, and this has helped me a lot in deciding what to farm. Vanq'd Cursed Lands this morning. frostkisses
does anyone have the build for running Kathandrax? ppl keep saying its just 600/smite, but my tank keeps dying with the traditional "cof" version
