I have the same set of max Drakescale armor I acquired waaaaay back when I started. Now I'm getting bored with it and am looking to change.
I like the Elite Drakescale, but there's a couple others I think are cool also.
I've heard some people say their new armor looked good on GW Wiki, but it doesn't look the same playing their character.
I almost wish there were a way to "model" the armor prior to buying the pieces.
What's worked the best for you?

its all personal preference, but I have used the droks druids armor since I got it. the only armor I have even thought about getting on my ranger so far is norn, and I havent even brought him to eotn yet.

Personally I have Norn, which is quite nice.
IMO the best by far would be dwarven, but it's not a complete set, and you can't display it in your Hall.

Well it's true that it's a matter of personal preference but i recomend Norn(but maybe that's because it goes well with Mask of The Zhing Mo.I like making my chars more ...errr well ninja looking

If you are looking for expensive armor, I suggest primeval, even though it was for a long time the popular choice, its popularity has waned some with the release of GW:EN armors.
If you were looking for male armors, I don't know, don't really care much for male ranger armors.

Gotta admit I'm very impressed by my ranger's norn armor.
I'd avoid all Tyrian ranger armors - the textures are very low-res compared to all other armors in the game.

I'm going to have to agree with the Norn sentiments. It looks cool, and it's a cheap elite armor, if you want some for your HoM.

I think Norn is the best looking... Obsidian armor makes the character look like they have leprosy, or some sort of abnormal skin growth that's bonded to their clothes... Just my opinion though. If you like Drakescale, you might like Asuran, Primeval, or Ancient armors... I'm assuming you like pointy things...

personally i've always prefered the basic luxon ranger armor (a pity, since i rarely do the luxon stuff in game)
the tunic and gloves just look cool, imho. what can i say - i like gloves that look like you can punch through a wall with them...

Personally, I own Elite Canthan, Norn, Elite Druid, and Monument armors (male). The set I find myself wearing the most is Elite Canthan. There's a lot of detail within the set that I enjoy viewing.

well, to tyria's credit, I think the 15k drakemail is definately in my top 5 elite ranger armor picks. The chestpiece goes well with just about any other ranger set imo, and it dyes pretty well. Im a big fan of the elite sunspear set alos. I really do not like most of the ranger armors however... trenchcoat armors look horrible unless you are standing still.

I Personally like Primeval and Norn armor. However if it's standard armor you're going for try Drakescale or Luxon.

If you wanna keep real ranger (sounds silly but read) remember that they are wilderness attuned and things, thats why i hate basicly all the nf elite armor.

I've considered lots of sets for my male ranger and the only ones he will likely ever own are Elite Druids, Norn, and Obsidian.
Monument and Ancient are "maybe" - I really don't like the looks of any of the other sets. There's a regular Kurzick set with lots of lace that I'm curious about but can't justify spending the gold on.
