Okay peeps whats with the childish monks -_-

WARNING: This is a angery man ranting

So there i was in olaf stead yet again trying to get a norn HM point farm team together.
I had the quest and i had 6 ursans but now all i needed where 2 monkeys -_-

Now eventually we got 2 monkeys and these monkeys where bloody picky ><

'Rank 8+ only plz or i will leave' one of them said. I had to kic k 2 peeps below that to meet up with those demands. The ot her monk was little better
'No noob aggro or i will leave'
Eventually one of the team members said i am so sorry i have to go i am sorry.
And she logged out. One of the monks said ‘O ---- This’ and mapped back to olafstead and then the other monk did.
I mean for ffs we just started the run it would have taken 2 seconds to all resign and get 1 ursan from olaf yet all the monks decided to run off to another team.


The thing that annoys me so much is that they can get away with this soo much.
The only reason why i might consider becoming a monk is to simply be treated happily whenever i am invited into a party. Whenever i am between outposts for my 55hp monk. I am invited by teams for various reasons.

Other than almost all monks looking like nazis and acting like gloria smith. There just plain annoying.
It also always surprised me why ppl refuse not to take heros to do the job instead. I mean in my opinion healing has got to be pretty easy for Ai
and as for the monks running into danger i always became generally annoyed why ppl just dnt manually control the monks.
When i Vanquish i take full control of all my heros flagging them and using the correct skills in combinations.
I just wanted to ask Who Else believes that Heros can do the monking job as well or even better than a player monk.
I mean they dnt go afk and they dnt shout abuse :P

Got the same problem. Only a little different. I am in a GvG guild, but we only have one core monk. I hate the guy, he is annoying, arrogant, and pisses me off every time we are on vent. Only problem is, we cannot kick him because then we would not have a monk at all. So most of the time I just have to swallow all my angry comments (he is insulted very easily. He rage quitted once because the mesmer refused to bring shame).

Point is: nothing you can do. But I feel your pain

If you don't want that to happen again. Use hero/hench.

well some monks prefer to have no extra aggro so they wouldn't become overpressured
i'm an HB monk in DoA and i have frowned a few eyebrowes myself because some ppl just don't understand they have to be careful with what they aggro
i only left once and that was because someone ran around the dreadspawn maw killing all the tendrils one by one while we were still facing the first mob
but i never pick on ppl for their ranks, on my ele ursan ppl never picked on me for my rank, so i will never pick on people for their rank,
all i ask is that the ursans bring their consets, don't aggro too much enemies, and do their job

when he killed the last one in front he came running at me with the mob following right behind him
and if you told him to stop aggroing so much enemies he just said to stfu

Monks are very desirable and can find groups extremely easy. So it's very easy for them to leave a "bad" group or have high demands, since it so easy for them to find a group. I demand more from a group when playing my monk too than when I'm playing any of my other characters.

thats y i hate monks
if i had 7 people and only 1 monk we could use another monk
guess what i would kick the monk and use my heroes instead.

but sometimes i have confidence in them if they are listening to my instruction.
but never tae a real player monk for hm cos when they leave we are screwed

Methinks you kicked the wrong party members. I would have taken what the prima-donna said as an admission that he/she wasn't good enough at monking to handle a tiny bit more work to keep everyone alive.

play monk yourself ~~

it is very annoying to run every where to heal people splitting and/or aggro whole map...

so just dont bring the whole fact on monks
