Hey, well, i'm sorry for the noob question, but i've been on a mmorpg hunt for awhile, and i recently went through my games, and i saw guild wars, and i didn't see it last time, so i decieded to install, and find a nice fansite to ask some questions, so i came here!
I come from alot of mmorpgs, like Coh/Cov(City Of Heroes, Villians), World Of Warcraft(Can't believe i played), Lineage II, etc.
Different games, different styles, you know, but what i'm trying to find a game, to help me pass time, while having fun, like i need to focus sometimes, to actually beat something, so you know, im not looking at the time every 5 minutes, and yelling, WHY!

So, basically the question is, what can this game offer me?

Guild Wars can offer a lot of fun, without requiring you to put in hours upon hours of play.

Sounds like you enjoy fantasy style gaming. Guild Wars is designed to allow for casual gaming that is still rewarding. While each chapter is a little different in the beginning, they do a good job of gradually moving you forward.
A better question is perhaps, what do you want from GW? Chances are that you can find it here.
Casual gamers can enjoy logging in and playing a mission for about an hour or so and then quit for a while. Come back and pick up where you left off. With no subscription fee you can take "vacations" for as long as you want.
If you prefer the more dedicated path Guild Wars has added such things as Title achievements and "high-end" areas. These require a time dedication more than anything else.
The final realm is kind of under the dedicated path but also quite different. That is Player versus Player(PvP) content. It is not easy to get started but imo is the funnest part of the GW experience and what keeps me coming back to it.
But really, the question should be, "What kind of gaming experience do I want from GW? Can GW deliver that for me?" The second question is easier for us to answer while the first question can only be answered by you.

Since you have already installed it, log on a play and see if you like it.

Welcome to GW and Guru.

Not since Nightfall. Now it's just a regular MMORPG.

If you don't believe that, try to get an UW/FoW/DoA Pug without rank 9+ norn, or try to find a HA group as unranked.

GW is much different then Lineage II or WoW. As you probably already know, you reach the level cap extremely quickly. If you like to play as a team and come up with builds that work well in a team setting, GW is great. If you like grinding levels, then it is not for you. Do not expect to get the same sense of accomplishment from GW as other MMOs.

in most of those MMORPGs you mentioned the PvP aspect is really lacking.
in Guild Wars the PvP aspect is very advanced.
PvE is good in most MMORPGs as that's their main arena, however in Guild Wars PvP is also very well designed and implemented.
so what do you get from Guild Wars?
the usual PvE games, with its own unique differences like every other game. and awsome PvP arenas to compete against other players around the world.

Its a game that offers much in entertainment when you go through it the first time, no monthly subscription and no real effort is needed to be on par gear wise with the rest of the people running around u.

many people go with warrior as their first class.
personally, i chose elementalist because i like caster classes and they are very versitile.

They're all perfectly viable. Mesmer, however, is without doubt the weakest in PvE. It's not a bad profession, and personally I find it fun to play, but it's not as strong in offense or defence as the others. The strongest are probably warrior, necro, monk, and elementalist.
But, like I said, all professions are viable. If you feel mesmer or whatever seems interesting, go for it, because no matter what you choose you can't gimp yourself.
