Ever wondered what to bring as a 3rd hero in those harder dungeons besides your regular monk and warrior/ele. Something that packs a punch but still helps the team with buffs?
Well this is just what this build is all about.
Ogden's Divine Smiter's Boon
Use 14 Divine favor and 13 Smiting with 20/20 enchants staff. No other requirements.
Especially good in HM where Defender's Zeal provides lots of energy recovery. Heaven's Delight can be changed for any other skill as desired.
The Divine boon and Smiter's boon combo provides ~150 hp healing on any smiting spell. Especially effective with reversal of damage.
Smite hex and smite condition are just too good to ignore.
give it a try.
criticism can be constructive.
regards

Not bad, nice idea. I am just not a big fan of heaven's delight, I would proably replace with another skill though, not sure what though. Perhaps castigion signet, deals decent damage and energy gain.

Thanks for the build. I'm going to go cap Defender's Zeal then try it out.

get rid of vengeance and heaven's delight, replace with Judge's Intervention and castigation signet for energy management for the hero (even with defender's zeal he'll run out of energy, i've used a similar build before)

no... why would i bring a monk, ele or especially a warrior hero?... anyways
it looks pretty good, although vengance is a pretty silly skill, i wouldnt bother with it.

it looks pretty good, although vengance is a pretty silly skill, i wouldnt bother with it. assuming the mainstream picks for heroes are monk/warrior/ele (but that's besides the point)
forgot to mention I activate vengeance manually when needed. I can see it getting silly otherwise. I'd only replace it for a rez signet if it had to go.
heaven's delight replaced by castigation signet. good point.

I've tried a number of these builds before -
Smiter's Boon is very random, it tends to need micromanagement.
Defender's Zeal is a great HM Smite elite, as long as Ogden targets correctly. Lock him onto a Warrior and he should be ok.
Divine Boon is an energy killer, even with Defender's Zeal.
RoD, Smite Hex and Smite Conditions are on the money.
Castigation Signet's needed for better e-management.
Unfortunately, Spell Smiters aren't particularly good hybrids (Smite+Heal or Smite+Prot). The healing looks good on paper but is weak in practice. If i need a Spell Smiter with the ability to heal, i'd take an E/Mo Master of Magic Smite/Prot hybrid (the second skillbar in the post).
It's probably better to go with 3 x Signet Smiters and offload the healing to Henchies.

Quit reading here.
And when you can't think of what to bring, Paragon Paragon Paragon...no need for a smite monk that tries to do what a Paragon does but fails.
