I my self am a guild leader an i recently lost an officer who i'm fairly certain wouldn't get up an leave with out at least telling me. so i tried to add him to friends under two different character names of his. both gave me a message that said no such character name. i suspect that he might have been banned. is this correct? is there any way i could contact him if hes not banned?

I'm not sure if banned characters get deleted, i'm thinking that they don't but.........just an assumption.

Well they do not delete your account upon banning so I would asume if his chars are gone but he is still isted under guild roster he was hacked and perhaps had his chars deleted. My best guess

I Dont think Anet has the right to delete an account as the infomantion on said account would belong to you as you paid for it. but then can stop you from using it...

Banned characters do not get removed from guilds nor deleted, and can still be added to f-list. Guess he left and deleted his chars imo.
Look in guild status, where it says ".......... left the guild."
If the name there dont work it means he deleted the char.
