Hero: Warrior builds

I tried posting this in the warrior section but have not had much luck in getting any response aside from hero's can't use certain PvE skills.

I am a Ranger (mainly interupt and condition) and I would like to equipe Jora (Norn hero) as my main dps hero, using a sword/shield. Could someone recommend a general build I could use in explorable areas and questing. My other two heroes are a healing monk and fire ele.

Also what ruins and insignias do I need to make Jora a more effective dps hero?

I know I've equipped most of my hero skill bars from there.

May I ask why Jora and not Koss?

For me Koss seems the most likely hero to follow orders & not over-aggro etc but I'm still a pretty new player.

Most people will tell you not to bother with melee heroes. They flee from easy aoe damage, they won't chain adrenal or any combo skills quick enough, they can't pull off any combos successfully and the second you switch targets so do they just about.

Probably the best for warrior heroes is

[card]Enraging Charge[/card][card]Flail[/card][card]Cyclone Axe[/card][card]Triple chop[/card][card]dismember[/card][card]executioner's strike[/card]
Previously you would add [card]"Watch Yourself!"[/card] and [card]death pact signet[/card] but now its a bit less obvious. Stuff like [card]Conjure Frost[/card],[card]Conjure Flame[/card],[card]Conjure Lightning[/card] will help damage. Other options could be [card]Grasping Earth[/card], [card]"Go for the eyes!"[/card], [card]Signet of return[/card], [card]Splinter weapon[/card] to name a few.

Using a sword is a bit weaker. You can try [card]Dragon slash[/card][card]Sun and Moon slash[/card][card]sever artery[/card][card]gash[/card]. Against enemies that don't bleed maybe [card]Silverwing slash[/card]. Consider [card]"for great justice!"[/card]

Insignias either survivor or sentry. Vitae runes, minor sword or axe and minor strength, best vigor u can afford.

As MercenaryKnight said, you will want to upgrade to paragons though. Their Ai is generally better and they can bring more cookies

I have to admitt its a purely asthetic reason. Jora has a better looking behind then Koss^^ However, it seems I may be wasting time and money capping elite skills for a warrior hero, and should instead focus on my Paragon. *Sigh* Poor Jora

Meelee heroes suck.
