I listen to it, but I have it on low. I typically have the tv on while I'm playing though. I have to play with some kind of ingame sounds going and it just doesn't feel right to me to have other music playing. That's just me. I also didn't get my Directsong for Factions going until well after NF came out - forgot. So, that additional music is still kinda newish for me when I have reason to go there.
I feel like such a :S listening to guild wars music
i really like it i like the jumpy upbeat asuran music but yea i often do watch tv a lot of the time. the other half my m8s are over or i am having a one sided argument with my budgie.
But i still have the music on aprart from when i am forge running because i time myself by useing music
1st part pinky floyad dunno the name of te song but well ......
'I am gonna hit the highway like a battering ram on a chilla black phantom BIKE!!!!!'
After that
'Over the hills and far away' followed by
'TO FAR AWAY AND I AM LOVING YOU EACH DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!'

I always have the music on, and I love it.
BUT! (Yes the big "but")
THE FREAKING VOLUME IS SCREWED! I have to turn the rest of my ingame volumes to 25-50% to actauly hear the music. I also have to turn the volume on my computer up. Then when somone messages me via AIM, I get ear splitting AIM noises.

See it yourself.
Let me help yu with that one:
- Go to DirectSong page. Download the latest ds_GuildWars.dll and GuildWars.ds. It can be done by executing any music installation program form the "My downloads" section. Since you already have the licenses, you won't spend them up, but download the latest versions of the files, it also wroks when they upgrade music for lower Kbps to higer ones, like when they upgraded to 320Kbps. Check Directsong support for more details.
- Once downloaded, go to the Directsong folder and look for a file called GuildWars.ds. Open it with any plain text editor, like the Windows Notepad.
- Replace ALL "0]" strings in the file for "]".
- Done. the volume is now fixed for you.
You can also replace anything between the braquets for ceroes ([1200] -> [0]) but my way is quite faster.
It seems that in some machines, specially laptop integrated soundcards, the volume settings work very bad, reducing too much the volume.
The number between braquests states how much the volume for a certain song must be reduced while playing it, so if you increase that number, you decrease the volumen, and if you decrease it, you increase the volume.
My 'fix' is the fastest one, since it's done with a simple 'replace all'. But manually replacing each value for 0 would also do.
I also added to the file the following lines in bold:
# Divine Path
L351:Guild Wars Factions Original Soundtrack/24_Bonus_Track_4.wma[60],Guild Wars Factions Original Soundtrack/01_Guild_Wars_Factions_Theme.wma[60]
# Bone Palace
L438:Guild Wars Nightfall Collector's Edition/01_The_Bone_Palace.wma[50]

That way the track 'The Bone palace' is played in the Bone Palace.

I
www.pandora.com owns GWs music.
when you can customize the music channels to play only the songs you like and have as many channels as you want I even have Guild wars related music as a channel I forget what I named it to find the similar music, but it still rocks.

No.
It's not my preferred style of music, so I've substituted for my own pretty much since I started playing. Songs like "My Cold Sea" by Arcana, "Of Broken Stone" by Dargaard, or "De Profundis (out of the depths of sorrow)" by Dead Can Dance is more to my tastes, and in my opinion sets a more epic mood.
