Ecto exchange rate??
SirNazron
I have sold many iteams on auctons center of GWG but my buyers ask what the ecto exchange rare it, how do I figure the formula?

Most people use the trader price as a guide. Something like: Trader sell/buy price minus/plus a set amount which you determine. Depends how much you want to pay over what the trader will buy them at.

Well if you are trying to get the most ectos you can see what peopel are buying for in ToA and use that. Most people as of now are using 4.5K per ecto or 22e = 100K. Personally If I am buying I use 21 ecto = 100K

Well, what I consider to be the "fair" exchange rate would be the average trader price.
Take the price you could SELL an ecto (or any material) to the trader
ADD that to:
The price you could BUY it from the trader
DIVIDE by 2
(BUY+SELL)/2=AVERAGE PRICE
And you get an average price based on the Trader NPC's values.
NOTE: People will try to change this price to be closer to one end or the other to try to make/save more money, but the average price is the best price for both parties.
Hope that helps!

Always go with the median price. It's the fairest route for both parties. Please, when trading.. use the above formula.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that does that.. it sure seems like it sometimes.

Ecto exchange rate for an auction would be
trader price (at close of auction) + (500g-1K (your choise)) thats fair as long as it is stated in the auction

TSMarcot is right about the "fair" price. (Trader_Buy_Price + Trader_Sell_Price) / 2 is fairest to both parties.
However, you may well run into people who will insist on using an exchange rate more to their benefit.
