Hero nerfing???

I logged on for the first time in a few days last night, and when I went out to explore with my heroes (Koss, Vekk, and Ogden)...Vekk and Koss were getting slaughtered like never before. Seriously, Vekk would die instantly at every mob. What is the deal...anyone?

You set HM and ddn't notice it?

Maybe your builds got nerfed into oblivion recently?

What is HM...please enlighten? I am curious because my henchies and Ogden seem to be fine, and they are the same or lower level???

And...I don't think it can be a skill nerf issue...it is more like they have no armor all of the sudden???

Did you recently beat a campaign?

There was a recent nerf to [skill]watch yourself[/skill]. That might explain Koss being such a wussy. Check for nerfs with Vekk, and check whether you have him set to guard. Hero eles tend to be worse than a wammo in putting themselves in danger.

Thanks for the suggestions...I will see what I can see tonight when I log on. Yes...I will be playing Guild Wars on Friday night...no...I don't care if that is lame to some people...hehehe.

I haven't beaten a campaign yet...I have taken my Para to Prophecies and am up to the Ascension missions now. So, I can discount the HM possibility. Also, it is like only Koss and Vekk were affected. I am not dying faster and neither is Ogden or the henchies?!?

I've been grinding away in HM with Koss and he's just fine. You should definitely review his skillbar.

Maybe because you're not running two other paragons and a ss/barbs necro?

Maybe Koss and Vekk are rebelling against me because I didn't log on for awhile...I'm gonna have to boost morale or maybe just beat them into submission!!!

my vekk does and always has done the same thing
ill flag my H/H way back so i lure something, and as soon as i click it vekk will charge into melee rang for some reason and instagib himself.

my koss is fine though...

Veek is a freaking "Kamikaze" pilot set on selfdestruct NOW.

same like the other ele hero's they just suck to understand proper aggro.

Sounds like you had watch self on your warrior to me. SADLY, instead of removing that skill from the game, they made a bigger joke out of it and left it to fool you into using it and thinking it doesn't completely suck. Bad joke Bad bad bad joke

After years of a nice skill even after nerfing it several times, they finally made it REALLY lame.

Have you given him a PBAoE spell?
If you give ele heros a PBAoE spell they'll not use it defensively, as one would think, but will run up to the enemy, trigger the spell, and stay there.

It's basically a variant of the Alesia suicide touch-heal.

Eles do this even if you disable the spell. In short, no PBAoE spells on an ele hero unless you want him to go into melee.


ALSO, to the OP: people are exaggerating the effect of Watch Yourselves because it's their pet peeve, but the change to that skill is not why you're wiping. It was never that great when used by a warrior, at least not when H/H'ing; the skill was nerfed because it gave unlimited energy & 25 extra armor permanently to paragons. Paragons notice the nerf, a warrior doesn't.

I'm not sure about the nerf to watch yourself but I have found that if I have Apply Poisin on Koss he just stands around doing nothing, and will get into the fight as soon as I disable it. I put AP on Meloni and she is fine.
