Getting access in advance to something is also a bonus that can be paid.
Making access exclusive when you can never again get into there is always a mistake.
Does anyone else miss the Day of the Tengu

The Completion musn't be stopped!
We are The Completion, resistance is futile.
Hm... it would be cool to have a borg-like enemy in GW...
Everyone wants the Tengu mask, but then when you get it you're like ''Meh'' and never wear it. It's nothing special.
What I want to see is Gwen burning everyone like in Beta of prophecies, but of course us no-goers will never see that day personally. I did attend the Tengu event, It wasn't really anything special.
Some things you just can't have, gotta live with it.
As for having it again - It was designed for a specific event, so having it again wouldn't really be fitting.

Yeah, I reckon I miss it. I was there on the day, and got the mask, but... well, Tengu are the best race in GW, in my not-humble-at-all opinion. If we're not getting them as a playable in GW2, we should at least have something to remember them by.
(Its my pet peeve that their introducing generic elf race instead of keeping the Tengu, a unique (I have yet to see a playable bird race in a popular game) race)

For example, the BMP. Those that entered the promotion could see and play it much before the rest.
That was also exclusivity.
That can be applied to the whole guild wars:
- Those that made elite missions sooner than others.
- Those that got rare skins before others.
- Those that where in the beta...
It's much fair to reduce the exclusivity to "I enjoy it for a year or two and you not, and then anyone can enjoy it, when I get other exclusive stuff to enjoy before others".
Like getting second-hand stuff.
You let other use your old car when you get a new shiny one.
Much fairer.

Basically you gather naga fans or something like that, make some quests and get a mask for that.

Ain't it funny how this game is full of stuff that people want but do not need and the complaining that goes with it as they think it's unfair that the "have's" have and the "have not's" do not.
Seems like some players want GW to be like a communist society where every player is identical. The first person to do or get something automatically qualifies every other player for the same thing. Meh.
Let the masks go. If you didn't get one, so what? Life goes on.
