What skill do you glyph renewal in that first build?

Fire Storm. For Fire Storm's damage isthe highest, especially combined with Ebon Battle Standard of Honor.

I like how enemies run away from aoe.

This is PvE and you have Deep Freeze. Well, maybe you can add Meteor (shower) or Earthquake (Dragon's Stomp).
360??
I like how Firestorm is used by bad players.

If you are going to take Firestorm, at least couple it with Mark of Rodgort. Nobody can deny the fact that you will trigger scatter with it, especially in HM, but it can still work as part of a balanced bar.
Remember, they may run away, but they do come back. It can also act to take pressure off of a backline monk or other caster if your group can't hold frontline aggro.
I know the received wisdom is Firestorm = fail, but if you know how to use it, it can still be viable - just don't take it for it's DoT alone.

Firestorm is bad. /thread.

A combo *which work, at least for me, in PvE, even in HM* is using Meteor Shower, Mark of Rodgrot, then Firestorm combo. Making sure Meteor Shower is first is important for the knockdown, but you can also include some snare skill with it as long as it is an aoe snare, so that the whole chain keeps as an aoe.

If you have the option, just use Savannah Heat. 100x more damage (probably an over exaggeration) for 5 energy, and you can just arcane echo that.
Dr Strangelove
For fire, savannah heat makes a hell of a lot more sense than firestorm. Firestorm does have good damage, but the AoE is so tiny that it really isn't as useful. You may as well run tenai's heat too.
For earth, you don't need deep freeze. Between earthquake and unsteady ground (a better choice than sandstorm), everything will be snared well enough.
The energy on both of those builds seems shaky without GoLE.
The biggest problem with the ubernuker builds like that is poor adaptability. If everything isn't in a neat pile when you start, things go poorly. If for some reason your combo is disrupted or fails to wipe everything, you're left wanding things for 30 seconds while it recharges. It certainly works, it's just an all-or-nothing style of play.

heavy duration-based AoE nuking is obsolete in PvE, for the simple fact that a warrior with splinter weapon can kill that monster stack before the nuker finish casting the first spell.
fire nukers should focus more on single damage AoEs that are faster, if only so they can keep pace with the warrior+splinter.

on the contrary i used firestorm for hex pressure with tainted... in a r9-12 group and it just added to the pressure..... you'd be surprised at how many people stand in it... haha if stood the full duration it is approx 250-290 dmg not considering armor...

Firestorm=Fail
which is why your build got low rating...
also any Fire Ele nuker without 1 of the following: MB, SH, SF, Dual Attunements, AP is pretty much a FAIL...
