This is kind of a general question for anyone out there who might be using a Mac to play GW. [Warning: I am very technically/computer challenged, hence, my question here. ]
For the last year or two, I have been playing GW on my Mac using Boot Camp/Windows XP. It works great; I have had NO PROBLEMS at all.
Recently, I tried the same thing with Tabula Rasa; well, that didn't work so well. I have had a few crashes--mostly associated with adjusting the video settings in that game. What I am trying to figure out is: why would some PC games work OK on a Mac using Boot Camp, while others do not?
I guess I'm trying to figure out what it is to watch out for so I can tell whether a PC-based game is going to work on my Mac or not. And, yeah, I know PC Game companies don't support playing on a Mac, yadda yadda.
With Tabula Rasa, since I also have a PC, I can still play the game, but I'd just like to know what makes some games work on the Mac/Windows configuration and others not. Is it some kind of video/graphics issue, or does it run deeper than that?
