Is anything even happening during the party?

Okay so it says on the Guild Wars website that every three hours, The Frog will show up and there will probably be dancing, conga lines, etc. But I've been on for two hours (and I know the times for the every three hour events because I've played for nearly two years, so I know the time frame) and all that's happened is The Rabbit spamming to get festival items.

So my question is, is this party only going to be for obtaining fireworks and things like that to get Party Animal points? Which, by the way, didn't work because I shot off fireworks and they only gave me one point instead of two.

Yep : The Frog should have showed up an hour and a half ago and he hasnt: somethings gone screwy

Als only double points Occur when the for comes (at alocated times) and he gives everyone a buff.
only when the buff is on you do you get double points

Yes something is wrong because nothing actaully came up today...it's probably a technical problem :S

Yeah, I think the general idea is for you to be collecting items before the event starts, then use them when it does.

I noticed there's no decorations either, but no biggie, less lag.

I am absolutely amazed at how many people dont know how to read. The event starts at noon pst today, so not for another 1:15. Then it repeats every three hours after that. It's all there in the news on gw.com, you just need to read.

The Frog chats a bit with the Rabbit, they tell you to use emotes. Then it's conga time, and they chat e bit more.

When you emote correctly you'll get some Party stuff (1 of each). During the entire time the Frog is present you'll get double party points.

First time I've seen the frog appear is 7h48mins ago.

As stated before, it was a mistake show, or a test.

The frog should come in either 8minuts or 68 minutes from now.

where is this event thing being held?

Event is being held in Kamadam, Shing Jing, Lions Arch. I agree whole point was to get ppl to collect items before the Frog Arrives then Celebration starts.

Well considering that, it should have appeared twice already and how many times have people said they've seen it so far? Only once, at least that's what it sounds like, if it's been more than once I'd like to see the ones who saw it clarify, and if not then Anets scheduling is just off.

15 minutes tops. And the party effect is gone as soon as he leaves the scene, so you better start clicking as soon as you got the Party Time buff on you.

they should have a countdown in game - ideally in the announcements that pop up frequently, this would remove all confusion about when anything is gonna start!

All that happens is The Rabbit announces that the Frog is coming and to "act normal". After he makes it to the circle he starts a conga line which activates the Party Time effect. After 1 trip around the outpost they begin talking and everytime you do an emote that is suggested by The Rabbit or The Frog you get fireworks. They chat abit (perform a Frog Hip Hop song ) and then the Frog hops off.

It shouldn't have appeared at all... except for the test that Arduinna saw. It's not 12:01 PST yet. That's still 32 minutes away.
