If you take a PvE character to random arenas, and say you get the map of Ascalon Arena or Shiverpeak Arena, then will you be fighting on the world map (thus gaining percentage toward the cartographer title)? Thanks in advance.

So if you get into one of the two maps that I mentioned, you will just be fighting in the middle of nowhere even though that place actually exists on the real world map?

Nope, you don't get any on the cartotrack for anything in PvP except for the old RA/TA access towns that don't exist anymore when Factions came out and moved stuff to the Battle Isles.

There are plenty of places that "don't exist" in the sense that they don't count towards the cartography title (most noteably, these areas and any underground areas).

To test this, just create a PvP character and play RA for a little while. You will see that you don't get any points towards cartographer, in fact the title will never even appear ( a PvP character can get a few points towards cartagrapher via the old pre-Factions system mentioned earlier).

Actually, a PvP character will get credit for "exploring" Fort Aspenwood or Jade Quarry.

Forgot that. Which is part of the reason it is so stupid (to me) that those areas count for exploration.
