Pre Searing Hardmode
Barrett
Okay So as you all know
you complete
Factions/Prophecy/EoTN/Nightfall and ur level 20 Characters Get Hardmode
well how about a hardmode for pre-searing but slightly different
for example since only 2party
dont put enemy up to lv20, make them range from lv10-16(depending on normal mode level ofcourse)
make it so hardmode is only gainable to a character who has completed all Pre-searing Quests , hits lv15 and maybe give them a special mission thats very hard to do to get a eqiuvalent to ascending but for pre-searing only
this would make it slightly easyer for ppl who spends Night after night death leveling that little bit quicker leveling

Very good idea but i doubt they will introduce that now!

Anet as already stated that there will never be any hard mode in pre.
Any changes that would make titles easier to obtain i disagree with. PPl who already obtained them did it the way it is now, making them easier to obtain will remove any glory left to them.

just dont make the enemys be too high levels just make them so u dont have to death level till the next level up to what u normally death level at or something
i'd hardly call leaving a pc on for few hours and kill the enemys then repeat that Skillfull title really either

legendary defender is one of the most time consuming titles to get ingame, this would shorten the time considerably and make the title cheap.

I kinda want to visit, just for the scenery, farming and such. If the historian can send you back in time to experience turai, gwen's saul's or togo's story, how bout something similar that takes you back to pre searing.

It's an afk-grind title.
Sir Pandra Pierva

presear is the tutorial area - you're not supposed to stay there forever. Those who stay there shouldn't get anything from the Tyria after the searing.
the title was a reward for thinking up the use of death leveling - no need to make it easy to get.

amount of skills is very low in pre and this just doesn't sound right
if you want HM play in post searing or any other campaign with Hard mode

Only reason to do this is for LDoA, which is wrong because LDoA was meant to be for those who found a clever means of reaching 20.
It's also hard to say that HM could be added to pre-Searing since it's like a tutorial to the real game. Adding HM to pre-Searing would introduce Tomes, higher-level loot, and other items not meant to be in pre-Searing.
Basically, an overhaul of HM would need to be done specifically for pre-Searing. I will support this only because I wish there were a better way of getting LDoA than grind, even though the necessary steps to put this in place would be great in number.

and as some1 else said pre sear is not meant to be stayed in forever if not why would they make a title for reaching level 20 there in?

Remember, the whole point of pre-searing is to act as a tutorial, it is the GW community that had interest in making it the permanent world for their specific character.

I would sign if you could go to Orr before it was blown up. Would love to see how many people would be there trying to get Ldoa so they could see Orr.

And that quest is taken just after leaving the Tutorial areas.
Now... where do you take the last 'campaign-exclusive' quest in Prophecies?
Just after Beacon's Perch, in Griffon's Mouth.
The Prophecies tutorial actually finishes in Lion's Arch. And... oh... just like the other two cases, it's just after you unlock the Port!
Prophecies is not exactly a game tutorial. It's just the basic tutorial.
The longest of all three campaigns.
You could say that Pre-Searing it's like... Monastery Overlook and Island of Shehkah. Where the 'basic tutorial' starts, but not where the Tutorial ends, there are still things to learn later on.
So... if we look it like that...
Pre-Searing: You leave it forever.
Monastery Overlook: You can come back during festival events.
Island of Shehkah: You never come back, and most epople doesn't even remember the name.
You cannot really 'go back' to any of them, since the Monastery Overlook you visti during festivals is a 'copy' one.
So... why not allow to visit the 'copy' of any of them anytime?
For Cantha and Nightfall it would be mostly for exploration purposes.
And for all of them for Roleplaying and sentimental purposes.
Just make the monsters in the copy areas have 20 levels over the level they had during the basic tutorial and do not allow to enter there again until you finish the campaign.

Make it the same as all other hard mode means, then sure. Hit lvl 20 and you can do HM pre. /notsigned if its lvl 15, makes a title I worked hard for *and quit several times out of boredom* easier after I gave up on that annoying title.

The current title is arguably the biggest waist of electricity ever conceived for a computer game. AFK for a titles is stupidity at it's highest -- A really anti "Green" concept. We aught to just fess-up and conquer/kill all the oil rich Arabs to satiate our odd gaming habits, and the waist that it incures.
Mortal Amongst Mere Gods
I know that it'll never happen, but this is something I'd like to see too. One other requirement, though: must be level 20.
After beating this "really hard 'Ascencion' equivalent mission" you'd gain access to Pre-Searing Piken Square outpost (Would be locked in Northlands until mission is beat. If one memeber in party has done it and other hasn't, gate will be locked.)
In this outpost would be the usual NPCs, as well as a weapons collector that would take, say, 50-100 charr carvings for max weapons (Customized to person who gets them), amount of carvings depending on weapon. Along with that, there would be an armor crafter that would make max armor for 1k a piece and going by increments of 25 charr hides per piece. (Meaning 25 for helm, 75 for chest, 25 for gloves, 50 for legs, and 25 for boots.)
And of course, this would give access to HM, in which you fight level 10-17 monsters. There would also be a dungeon as "Lower Catacombs", which would be right under the Catacombs and would have some form of an undead boss.
Now, before anyone wants to go off on me about that gigantic request--Yes, I acknowledge that it won't happen. But it would sure as hell make an awesome update as something to keep us busy between now and GW2.

I don't understand the reasons of those against the idea....
I mean, how can u have HM if you're not lvl 20?

The OP is suggesting a HM that is un-lockable before level 20
And LDOA was meant as a reward for perma-pre characters. It wasn't really meant to be something for people to all of a sudden work for.

- Pre-searing is more for new players to learn. Sure there are perma-pre's that are level 20 and would like HM, but this area isn't really geared toward them, it's geared toward -new- players.
- Drama over Vanquishing.

LDoa is ridiculous
Survivor is easier and gives the same benefit: 1 maxed title more
once LDoa < GWAMM, why to do it?

How about.... no.
It's a tutorial area. If you choose to stay in the tutorial area, you get tutorial content. If you'd rather get the actual game content... they did build an actual game to go with it.

im guessing no 1 realises the kiting involved to pull a group from where the bosses are ,to the rez shrine.
its an awsome title and the peeps who stuck their troubling electricity bills to get it truely deserve it.
and any1 ever heard of "playing different games" while ur afk
P.S i dont have the title if your wondering

If you want the title thats the time sacrifice you have to spend no- one is forcing you to go for it your choice if you waste your life on a game.
And pre was meant to be an Intro to the game so..

Remember that many titles changed during time.
Getting golds is easier now.
Lockpicks give lucky and unlucky titles.
PvE skills make easier any PvE achievement title.
Tomes make easier the Skill hunter.
You can buy sweets and alcohol.
They added the Party Time effect even for a moment.
Survivor is now just a bad joke. Something really easy to get that only new characters can get.
There are many farming routes for promotion, faction and reputation titles.
FFF (I hate that, bleh)
Books in EotN.
As time passes by, titles also devalue.
For that, they should have added dates to the titles, so they show how much time ago you maxed it.
