Skill Trainer need an update
Eduhard
Hi friends,
My suggestion for guild wars is about the Skill Trainer located in Guild Hall, it's prize is 100k (100.000 gold), and now I think (most people) it's useless...Let me explain:
When GW started, it was very usefull to have the Skill Trainer in the Guild Hall, who only teach unlocked skills from Core, that you can find in all expansions...
But now, everyone can buy all skills from all expansions using Tomes and Priest of Balthazar (from all campaign he has, of course), but the Guild Hall skill trainer can't, because you can only buy Core skills.
My suggestion is: Please, Guild Hall Skill Trainer must teach all skills unlocked from ALL campaigns...not only Core skills.
That will be a benefit for all people, more comfortable...please think about that, because 100k....and it's not worth...
Cheers
PD: Sorry for my bad english...

I recall this has been already suggested.
Since the addition of Tomes, this is quite true.
The guild hall NPCs are meant to be a handy alternative to town and outpost NPCs.
Before the addition of tomes, you could not learn skill from a campign your character has never been in.
But tomes just show all the skills unlocked, regardless of the campaigns you have unlocked.
So, the trainer should:
- Teach all unlocked skills a tome of the primary profession would teach.
- Teach all unlocked skills a tome of the would profession would teach.
- Teach the signet of capture after making the signet of capture quest (this goes for all trainers).

At the moment the guild hall skill trainer is a complete waste of 100k.
While we're at it, let's do something about that weaponsmith too.

I've gone over to try to buy some skills I already unlocked, only to find that the skill trainer didn't have them (on my D/A).

I've always wondered why it didn't let you get skills from campaigns you owned. Honestly, for 100k, it's one of the biggest rip offs you can get. /signed
Macks Mistress
I laughed so hard when my guild leader spent 100k on possibly the most useless NPC in the hall.
Please, for the love of God make it well......useful?

I'd say it's about time the skill trainer allows us to buy all unlocked skills from campaigns we own. All the other skill trainers do (only for the campaign you're in at the moment, but still).

Tarun
/signed - simply check to see what campaigns the player owns, then from that show the skills.
Konig Des Todes
/signed for this or for making it cheaper.
arbiter
/signed, for 100k maybe it should give us fireworks too lol
but yeah give it all normal skills
but yeah give it all normal skills
the Puppeteer
even then the skill trainer would not be used as the combo - tomes + priest
in addition - make the trainer sell skills at somewhat reduced prices

100k Guild Hall Skill Trainer being known as the 'Signet of Capture' guy = Sad! Please help the poor npc pick his pride off the GH floor, where it's getting stepped on. :P

Fear Me!
/signed; but give the guildhall npc skill trainer his utility back pre-tome era, other than serve as a 100k loss. Rather than him teaching every skill by default, allow guilds to build him up; he'll accept regular tomes and expand his repertoire of skills that way until maxed. He can also accept elite tomes, and then can teach elite skills at a 1:1 ratio, elite tome per elite skill; so you can only learn an elite skill if someone has deposited an elite tome to him. To prevent abuse, an elite tome must be deposited everytime someone wants to learn an elite skill. Right now, he's a 100k loss, but rather than make him like every other skill trainer, allow him to have some guild exclusive function. He is after all a guildhall npc, where ppl who've banded together meet up and do stuff together.
Eduhard
totally agreed Fear, since tomes can teach any unlocked skill this is unfair.
