Req 8?

all of a sudden ppl r seling Req 8 weps and i never heard about this before and i have been playing gw for about 2 years now and theres very little that gets past me without me knowing except this lol.

Where can i get these???
Are they max??
Are they for all weapons???

Maximum req 8 weapons have a very rare chance of dropping. Same with req 7

well its actually its req 7, but its thats for only a few weapons one example is the celestial sword max dmg q7.

Req 8s have always existed. Req 7s also USED to drop, but have since not appeared. So far, there is no known confirmed req 7 max inscribable weapons (although one of the developers claims they exist, they might have misunderstood the question).

I started a thread a while ago to test if req8 gold max items still dropped, and not one piece of evidence could be provided that they do.

Myself and some of my friends are very hardcore farmers when we want to be, and not one person I've asked has seen a gold max req8 item drop for months.

As far as all actual in game evidence suggests, req 7+8 gold max items no longer drop.

If anyone could provide a screen shot of a req8 max gold dropping with a current skill bar or other on screen element as proof alongside the drop in the chat log AND the cursor hovering over the just dropped item showing the stats please let me know.

I've been playing for about 6 month, so far i got 2 req 8 +12 energy focus dropped. 1 is blue the other is this one:

I found 2 requirement 7 shields today.
They're not max though. Only AL 15. =\

Still good though... unless they have no inscription slot.

those are actually quite good if they have a nice inscription slot...you're not going to miss out much on 1 al,fetch a nice penny

Ive had one or 2 r8 inscribable blue offhands drop (yes, I do mean max energy ones). They do drop, but as people have said, they are extremely rare.

I also have a golden r8 FDS (non inscribable though im afraid) <-traded ingame

and golden r8 Oni daggers

Max Damage r8 items do exist and still do drop, they are just extremely rare.

Inscribable R8 Items DO exist.

try HM'ing the elementals in ascalon alot. Ive had two req8's drop from them, one of them i merched and the other ive lost :/. but yeah they definatly gave me two

Yeah. For some reason, people get really confused with the rarity difference between req 7s and req 8s

I remember seeing a thread here recently with a req 7 drop screenshoted on it (cant seem to find it under search - but then i might be missing it) it was a gwen item i think so it was recent.

As for max damage req 8's i can personally confirm they still drop i got two max damage req 8 (blue) offhands drop for me over the last week or so!
