Adams confused

I read some posts around here and I was wondering what it mean to have a r5 armor or r5 elemental sword....Whats the different R values or is there a place i read up on them?

well, r usually means requirement, and a req 5 ele sword ? :O

Or r5, could mean rank 5 ( hero title ).
Not sure about the r5 armor though.

r for armor means rank ---to get armor in eye you need to be rank 5 in the area (norn, asura, ebon, dwarven) before the armorers of those areas will talk to you.
and r5 (thats kinda low) sword/axe/....weapon means requirement for that weapon. so a r9 elemental sword means it requires you to have a level of 9 in swordsmanship to get the bonuses/use it effectively.

On a side note on weapon requirement posts you may also see a " Q " instead of the " R " - means the same thing.
