I've been toying around with a Rit hero build to go with paragon but as much as I love rits (primary char) don't see an advantage over bringing a N/Rt with Splinter or other skills.

I'd like to be proven wrong but it seems like sadly having a N/rt hybrid healer would be better than having a Rt/x channeling/resto?

N/rt healer: all heal skills + life + splinter (Sab's)

Rt/x : splinter/Warmonger/AR/Bloodsong/heal/heal/heal/e-management

anyone have any alternatives to above or other builds that worked for them?

Thanks

With necro you have energy if an enemy dies.

You not only get energy when an enemy dies, you get energy when anything dies, allies, minions, spirits, etc. That why the N/Rt works so well with a minion bomber because they are just throwing more and more bodies in to die and it creates a flood of energy back to your healer.

If your not using a MM bomber, personally I don't know that using a N/Rt over a Rt/X would make a huge difference, but I am probably wrong.

Leader-Legion of Avalon [LoA] Alliance-Recruiting PM for info!

I've experimented with a Rt/N.

Basically it was Sab's N/Rt healer, but I slotted in Dark Fuy and Order of Pain.

Worked well right up until Razah ran out of energy. Or would sac himself under heavy degen.

Like jaxdjaxd said necros have better energy management-so long as something is dying they'll have energy.

If you use a Rit hero, I think they would be in a better position to do stuff like Channeling or Communing. One guildie actually had a great deal of sucess using the Rt/N Expolosive Growth MM on a hero if you're into that sort of thing.

thanks for the replies. Of course i'm aware of soul reaping effect on the N/Rts but was wondering if there's something I missed or a way that Rit can do the same job better. I guess N/Rt is just better.

1 thing I got from this is when I'm not running an MM, I might give Razah a chance to see how he does. Also never tried the Rt/N minion bomber. May have to give it a shot (Razah/Xandra)

I was really hoping that the Rits can have an advantage but their primary does suck big time and it needs to be improved.

Agreed^

Necro/Rits put primary rits to shame and it especially hurts when your primary toon is a Ritualist...

You can get 5 hits out of Splinter Weapon instead of 4.

That's... about it.

Rt Hero's have terribad e-management. They won't use Offering of Spirit until their energy has tanked. They will use Energetic Was Lee Sa, but Protective Was Khaolai is a better item spell.

The only reason i'd take a Rt Hero is on the few occasions where a Spirit Spammer might be useful. Places like Eternal Grove (to back up 2 MMs and heal the NPC's with Life) and maybe Grand Court of Sebelkeh (the glowing light balls might nuke the spirits, worth a try).

Offering of Spirit on a human's bar is more than enough energy management. Besides, we've got Spirit's Strength to tool around with, it's hell fun with a Spear or a Bow.
