Sleep emotes and beds for guild wars 2 please

OP got banned (or was trying to) a little while ago. Was doing the same crap then too.

What do you mean you go /sleep in WoW you fall to the floor sleeping so it seems right to me. I understand the need for RP but seriously do people really want beds to sleep in? not to mention the "fr33 seckz tis wayz" which would do my nut in.

OP's post was rather dumb and a quite obvious troll, but I do enjoy LOTRO's housing model, tbh. They didn't focus on it and detract from actual game development, and it's a nice way to waste money and kill time when I don't feel like questing at all. Plus it confers a few minor benefits:

1. An extra location to map to
2. Extra storage

I dunno, I want a more immersive GW2. More emotes could achieve this, as well as bars/inns with seats that can actually be sat in.

There are a lot of cool things you can do with housing in MMOs. Everquest2 is a great example of it. Housing there centralizes access to auctions, storage, etc., plus it functions as a fancy money sink for more advanced players who are just looking for bragging rights.

Besides, even if it's just a digital chotchkie, it's a common digital chotchkie. Guild Wars annoys me to some extent because it's set itself apart from other MMOs in two major ways:

- It implements a number of innovative features that other MMOs can't touch
- It doesn't implement common-as-bloody-hell things that have been around for half a decade in every other online game

One thing that could really boost its popularity, I think, is a little more focus on implementing things that other games have had for years now (auction house... I'm looking at you...).

I WOULD enjoy a /sleep command, just like /bored or /sit... don't even need beds or houses. I have The Sims for that. Could be worse though: /cleanup... /bathroom... >_______>;;;...

There is one it's the big cross in the top right corner if you don't want to play at that time.... use it

on the subject, i would not want a /sleep emote. nty. T-T i don't wanna see people laying around in beds when i go everywhere. if you want to go afk, do what i do, set status to "away" and then find a nice little spot to do either /sit or /<insert instrument here>. ^^

I wouldnt mind having houses lol, but come on if i wanted to see people using the /sleep emote, surly i could jsut walk into my city center at night and just look at the tramps :P
