GvG Double-Reward Weekend
GvG's the thing this weekend, when you can earn double GvG Faction and Double Champion Points starting Friday at Noon Pacific (-7GMT) through Sunday at 11:59PM Pacific.
Please tell me this isnt true.

I lollerskated to the nearest roflcopter when I read this upcoming event.
Expect massive whining both from people who can't get Champion points either way and from people who want the titles to stay rare.

The last one of these was 3 months ago (Weekend of Jan 13th, to be exact). That's not all that frequent, unlike the QQ threads that start up nearly every Tuesday after they announce what the weekend's feature will be.
If they stick to the same rotation, the weekend event after this will be double SS/LB points again. Anyone who wants to QQ about that might as well do it here and save forum space.

For starters, its not a QQ thread friend, my "negative" comment below the event info was ment as purely comical.
However I do think negatively of the event. And yes, it will get "noobs" their "leet" title.
As for question 2/3, it seems you're pissed at titles in general, but the answers would be yes/no, and, no priority evaluation is needed as to why it does. If you want something that is fairly hard to get (in comparison with other things in this situation), and you're trying to get that, and someone who completely lacks the skill/focus/experience/everything is able to easily get it, would it not affect you? Granted, I dont, nor do very many people, gvg just for the champ title, but its a nice bonus, and its only human nature to want to be recognized for you're achievements, and wouldn't it annoy you to know theres people achieving such things with no work or effort?

Lets see as of now, 161 guilds are in champ range, 80 of those guilds actually still play, and around 25-30 of those guilds were bought for champ point farming, meaning 200-240 people +/- guests/frends/etc plan on (insert win gimmick here) their champ titles this weekend.

You guys are right. It's not fair for the PvErs. Looking back at the past months, half of the events have been PvP every month and the other half have been PvE. That is definitely not fair, considering 99% of Guild Wars players PvE as compared to the 1% who PvP.

Anyways... eh, weekends don't excite me. I generally play this game because I'm waiting on 40K Online or BioWare's MMO (actually I might probably subscribe to both if they turn out well). Hell, I might switch to Conan sometime while I'm waiting.

Nothing special (outside of being a personal achievement in case of titles or personal loss in the case of tragedies) - BUT they are both marketed so insanely well that we think they are.

This is almost as hilarious as the time they did champ points and less than 10 guilds in existence could actually earn them.
But speaking of devaluing titles, I didn't know they had any value to begin with except to the scrubs (they are all based off of farming nowadays).
