hiya all you esteemed and venerable players who seem to know what they are doing. (a lot more than me anyway) As i am quite new to this malarchy i will use english as my preferred communication, basically i dont understand all the abbreveations or in game words, i dont text very well on my phone either!! Anyroad up to the reason i am typing this at 2:30 in the morning is, i have been battling on for the last three and a half hours to get thru 'cold vengeance' EotN, i have read the wiki (invaluable!) and i am at level 4 trying to get past the bunch of jotun tearaways with big clubs just before the entrance into level 5. Ha!! I have been on -60% since level 2 and am now getting a bit (understatement) fed up of dying. I know it isnt supposed to be easy but all i have done for the last hour is target one foe, kill it eventually and move on. It isnt a skill, it is a relentless wearing down of them and me! I realise if i was better equipped i may find it easier (please tell me it can get easier) but a person can only take so much! Aaaahh i do feel better for that. If anyone should like to reply to sympathise/chastise, berate or help me out occasionally i look forward to it. till next time TO BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!

wow that was quick thank you,'screen bow', my proff. is W/Mo and i have with me, heroes; olias, jin and gwen, my henchmen are menhlo, cynn, devona, and herta. yes i can understand about over-agro i tend to be quite patient but when you get killed as often as i have been being patient makes it soooo long in the doing it becomes a chore as opposed to a 'fun' game.i do try to pull with my ranger jin but with the close up work required by my warrior it generally negates the pull as everyone dives in right behind me when the enemy are in range. thanks again for your quick response, i guess persverence is the key.

make your henchies keep back and use your bow to pull them to your henchies. it helps to keep you from getting overun with monsters

well, pulling dosent matter what proffesion you are, just switch to a bow on your warrior real quickly, and shoot 1 guy from the mob.

try looking up meta builds for your heros ( jin and gwen sound good if you put interupts on both, alothough ussally i use Sabway and put secondary interupts on the MM and the SS. Search for Sabway on www.pvxwiki.com, as it is the bomb)

that dungeon is a real doozy, no joke. In normal mode it is no problem for more experianced players, but newer players should probably start off with easyier dungeons like the ooze pit, or Arachnis Huant.

above thread shows the opinions on the difficulty level of many dungeons, as you see, Frostmaw's burrows is highly ranked in difficulty.

also I found if you spread your heroes out it helps with the spike (I used a rit who put a few spirits down to take the aggro off of us, and then I used olias with his good self healing skills ---had no minions left---to do the pulling....since I left my bow at home ). Otherwise I just keep moving around with my damage dealers off to the side....took me a while to get the wurm down, but it did finally happen.

You should consider your team build selection as the first thing to improve upon. If Olias is set up as an MM, then your only healing is Mhenlo and he isn't playing with a full skill bar. If Olias is set up as a N/Rt to heal, then you have no MM to give you a nice little army to hide behind to stay safe and cozy.

As stated above, Sabway is an effective hero team. Or bring in three damage dealing heros suited to your play style (whether that is 3 SF eles or whatever) and bring two monk henchies. The last two henchies you pick should compliment your offensive choices. I always like Eve to keep my e-management lacking hench monks flush with energy.
