Elite tombs

Has arena.net ever posted the drop rate for elite tombs when soloing boses.

I have about 15% of getting an elite tomb in GWEN's Hard Mode.
% maybe be low because of anti-farming codes.

And would farming boses that don't drop unique items(greens) improve your chances of getting an elite tomb?

I do not believe that Anet has posted tome drop rates. Good luck looking though, as someone may have done a lot of maths on it, though I doubt it.

To my knowledge, Anet hasn't posted drop rate numbers on ANYTHING. Wiki has info, but it is based on users taking noted and comparing numbers. Bosses in HM aren't the only source of Elite Tomes though. Any locked chest can drop one as well. Since a boss has a chance to drop a green (all but most Tyrian bosses), gold, gold weapon, materials, lockpick, collector item, or a passage scroll in addition to the elite tome, I'd say it isn't an easy number to determine.

It would take a HUGE number of people to kill bosses, record how many times they killed it, what it dropped, and then post those numbers for comparison. Once a substantial amount of people have supplied figures, a good estimate of the drop rate could be calculated.

I havent seen any Drop rates being posted or calculated anywhere. I believe it might be around the same as drop rates for greens.

Long time ago I solo farmed one elite tome of each profession, just for fun. I think that the elite tome to green rate was about 1:3. During a recent raptor weekend I still got elite tomes and greens at about the same ratio. 1:1 as suggested by some people sounds way too high. I would put the drop probabilities of elite tomes and greens at around 3% and 10%, respectively.

The probabilities are independent - you can get the tome and the green at the same time, and even a 'basic' drop at the same time.

Hmm i though i've seen elite tomEs that drop from reqular enemies too...maybe i was wrong tho

Tomes have a drop rate of their own outside of the green items or other items. The boss or other people can drop an item plus a tome. Same with event items.

Yep. Any, *any* drop rate you see for anything is fan produced, and thus may or may not be accurate.
