HM Snowman Dungeon Farm
Punjabi
Well I want to run the dungeon in HM with either solo or with another person/hero. I don't want to take a group of heroes or henchmen. I tried it with a 600/smite but they just dont do enough dmg for it to work...
Thanks for any insight

wouldn't an obby-sliver-ele w/ mantra of frost and mantra of resolve do it?
Something like:
Earth Magic: 12+1+3
Air Magic: 6
Inspiration Magic: 11
[card]Glyph of Swiftness[/card][card]Obsidian Flesh[/card][card]Stoneflesh Aura[/card][card]Mantra of Frost[/card][card]Mantra of Resolve[/card][card]Arcane Echo[/card][card]Sliver Armor[/card][card]Crystal Wave[/card]

mantra of frost wont reduce the snowball damage, so a snowball will always deal 17 damage...
and no, the snowballs are not spells

The problem comes when you're knocked down, rather than interupted. I dont think mantra of resolve protects against that.

Alright, what about switching out [card]Mantra of Resolve[/card] for [card]Ward of Stability[/card]?
To give you this: [card]Glyph of Swiftness[/card][card]Obsidian Flesh[/card][card]Stoneflesh Aura[/card][card]Mantra of Frost[/card][card]Ward of Stability[/card][card]Arcane Echo[/card][card]Sliver Armor[/card][card]Crystal Wave[/card] A Simple Farmer
[card]Stone Striker[/card][card]Mantra of Earth[/card][card]Stoneflesh Aura[/card][card]Glyph of Renewal[/card][card]Ward of Stability[/card][card]Sliver Armor[/card][card]teinai's Crystals[/card][card]Crystal Wave[/card]
OgVDMcy8Mb1v6yQ1xDXiZDDA OgVDMcy8Mb1v6yQ1xDXi0CDA (with Aura of Restoration in place of crystals) I've used this build with success. You'll need an earth shield, and probably some runes (ala glint/glacial builds). Run takes about 3-4 minutes. (used to take 1-2). you'll get a gold or two and a monk tome every 2-3 runs Maverick2201
I still don't understand why not, instead of using all those damage reduction spells, use Obby flesh? Unless it's absolutely necessary to keep up Ward of Stability 100%

Ok - I tried the build posted by simple farmer - I can farm the first groups successfully, but the two snowmen standing behind the huge snowballs that roll down the hill are able to knock me down/interrupt me whether I have Mantra of Resolve or Ward of Stability up... I'm not sure what's going on...
Is this build intended to farm the first 2 groups only? Sethellington

Yeah 1st 2 groups only. It's faster to take a full party for chest rewards and points.
If you were looking for golds and tomes, it's most efficient to solo (no hero) the 1st 2 groups. Here's my theory on farming it (& farming in general). 1man ele = 50 min 1man ranger = 20min (slower than full party HM, but way better drops) So obviously go with the ranger. to get the same number of drops as the ranger (I know it's not linear), you'd need to have a build faster than: 1man = 20 min 2man = 10 min. 3man = 6.67 min, After which you can't even run it that fast... So as it stands the ranger build is extremely fast for the party size and well worth the extra minutes it takes to complete in HM. EinherjarMx

this build is for the first 2 groups Maverick2201
Ok so I'm trying to figure out why a E/Me Vaettir farming build using Mantra of Frost instead of Mantra of Earth isn't working... it works great for the first two groups that do not have any interrupts/knockdowns. If all snowballs (including Mega Snowball) are spells according to the official wiki, why doesn't obby flesh protect you? And since mega snowball is a knockdown, not an interrupt, why is it a ward of stability STILL won't protect you?? I can't figure out why, logically, a obby/stoneflesh/mantra of frost/ward of stabilty build won't work in there to clear the whole dungeon...
can anyone shed some light? **EDIT** Apparently it is the Mischievous Snowmen that do it... the Hidden Rock causes daze and knockdown and it is considered a glyph as opposed to a spell... that would do it. Kormirs Sister
A snowman-build actually existsf or your ele... in an official german forum.
