Since you aren't asking about a specific area, I wont give you specific builds, but I can tell you how to go about winning:
Rely on strong party-wide protection skills (shouts, enchants, wards), which will allow you have have more resiliency all around and not have to worry about a few enemies running past your front line and insta-killing your casters.
Take appropriate shutdown for the strongest enemies. As a curse necro, enfeebling blood will let you laugh in the face of physical damage. For hard casters, a BHA arrow ranger works very well.
Use the most effective sources of damage. Since you are a curse necro, if at all possible focus on bringing heroes with large amounts of physical damage. MM's and Paragon's are very good at triggering barbs and mark of pain, which tears through enemies like butter.

I run as a necro and I use the Sabway build (3 necro). It works great. I adjust my build for the area and often use a number of interupts but sometime go as an SS as well. I just call a target and then attack something else. There are not many areas that this build will not work for you.
Mouse at Large
In fleshy heavy areas, a Sabs + another MM (either N/Rt or the Rt/N Explosive Growth/Boon of Creation etc variant) will roll through HM. Fill out the party with henchie healers and whatever you fancy.
Also, if you have Pain Inverter available, take it - it works beautifully with a minion army

its crap...no brains involved best bet is to adapt your builds to your area i.e the area your vanquishing...if its heavy condition run to chars with condition removal - same for hexes or melee preasure ;P
any idiot can run sab's and gives no sense of achievement IMO - much more fun to make up bars and then use them to see if they work - if not try again
oO and for the record go try sabs in hidden city vanq - it is far from excellent

oO and for the record go try sabs in hidden city vanq - it is far from excellent obviously you'd have to be a noob to run it in an area with almost no corpses!
sabway dosen't make the game super easy, it just works.
and you dont run the same sabway everywhere, it is flexable so you can change a lot of skills

oO and for the record go try sabs in hidden city vanq - it is far from excellent A minion master build doesn't work in a place with no corpses? What a brilliant deduction! Whats next Captain Obvious, telling us paragon's don't work in areas with vocal minority?
I'll agree that the sab build is rather underpowered though, its best quality is that it requires a fairly low amount of hero micro.

I'm going to make a couple of assumptions.
First I'm assuming you run with H/H most of the time. Second I'll assume that you're looking for general builds that will work for most areas, not specialized ones.
I'm generally running with two paragons and one N for heroes when I'm playing my necromancer.
The necromancer hero handles the minion bombing. One of the paragons is set for motivation with Song of Purification, the other runs Command with GfTE/Anthem of Flame/They're On Fire/etc. The elite for the second P can be just about any, I usually go with Soldier's Fury but Defensive Anthem is fine too.
This team build relies on physical augmentation so you need to pack at least Barbs and preferrably Mark of Pain. The Minion Bomber will run Dark Fury to assist adrenaline gain from the paragons. It will also pack some monk support (Aegis/Spirit Bond/etc).
I'm not home now so I can't provide exact templates; I'll try to help further tomorrow or Sunday.
