Update - Thursday April 10

Taiwan service update
Taiwan players now play on American servers.
Taiwan players can now access in-game account management.
Taiwan players can now access the in-game store.
Taiwan players can now access other language districts.
Taiwan players can once again play and trade with players from other territories.

Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that caused the Spirit summoned by the Ritualist PvE skill Vampirism to take longer than other Spirits to acquire new targets.
Fixed a bug that sometimes caused Dervishes to appear in avatar form after dying while using an avatar skill.

Miscellaneous
The Xunlai Tournament House NPC now offers prizes for the March tournament and can be found in the Great Temple of Balthazar, Lion's Arch, Kaineng Center, and Kamadan.
Updated the name of the Ceremonial Spear found in Elona to Solemn Spear to reduce confusion between it and the Design-a-Weapon contest winner of the same name.

Oh noes, GW is dead! It's all Regina's fault! Wahhhhh. (<---mandatory new patch QQ.)

Congratulations to all the Taiwanese people who were upset about their accounts, and I'm pleased about the Ceremonial Spear change. It was a real bummer to discover I'd found the old-style Ceremonial.

Be that as it may, they still have access to the rest of the world now. That's a huge plus. Nice update.

So... ...what was the point of splitting Taiwan away in the first place, only to be put back in under two weeks? And why into America? Why not into the Oceania area?

Because this is the first step in America's rule over all districts and their players!

The only thing I'm happy about.

Everything else just tells me America = peace keepers.

only reason I can think they put Taiwan on American servers is that now they can ban IP's for botting.

If I remember correctly the original reason is that Taiwan had passed a law saying something to the effect that ANet (and other game companies) can't ban people on servers in Taiwan (if anyone can clarify this more, please do). What this means is that if player A is found breaking the EULA in some way and plays on a Taiwan server, ANet can't do anything about it.

However, if they play on an American server, then they fall under ANet's power-so if they break the EULA they can get smacked with the ban hammer.

However as to why they picked America's server I'm not sure-any other server would've done just fine-so long as it's not a Taiwanese server.
