On March 16, the Chinese operator of Guild Wars The9 announced to stop the service of Guild Wars in mainland China. Following that, the Taiwan-based NCT announced to stop servicing Guild Wars in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. And the official site will be shut down on June 3rd, 2008 local time.
Guild Wars players in these territories are very sad. Some players said they will bring playmates together and take photos in game to memorize their friendship and experience in Guild Wars.

Kinda sad for other players, But I think the Main Official Server won't shut and will still keep running, Even in GW2^ ^.
Or this is a Hoaxe, or Anet didn't keep to there Promise of running GW -_-.
