i had my data repaired a few times(dun know wat the reasons is,even if i did a proper shut down).N u guys know it took such a LONG time to dl all files so i was wondering if we could just make a copy of the GW folders that contains all bytes of my account and in case of data lose again,i could just replace the spoil/corrupted gw folder with the back-up ones.is it feasible?

Reinstall using the Eye of the North DVD or simple burn the gw.dat file onto a DVD-RW after you do a full -image of it.

The dat file is just game data - it doesn't contain anything specific to your character or account. the only difference between your friend's and yours is he will have extra data in it you wouldn't need but it won't cause any problems.

Don't forget to save your customized folders as well, screenshots, templates, skills, etc.

The dat file does retain a few little pieces of personal information. If you've told GW to remember your email address, that gets stored in the dat.
