I have a suggestion for battles like GvG and others that are observable.
I know that after a certain time, we are unable to view them again. It would be nice to pay a few k (like 1,000 to 3,000 gold) to purchase the video of the battle in the guild wars game and download it to your computer.

it wuld be a good gold sink but i think there not viewable as to free up space and then rerecord etc.
or do you mean as to d/l at the current time there out or archived?
Wouldn't be a massive change but i guess some people would like it.
any way /signed

You shouldnt have to pay for that, and you can just use a D3D video capture program like fraps to do it.
So notsigned.

You mean to have the battle downloaded in a replay file that only the GW client can replay?
Sound fine if it existed, and it could allow player to record anything.

I actually like this idea. It's a nice goldsink as well as a great way to preserve memories.
And besides, FRAPS won't allow you to be interactive with the battle

Dude, a 30 min gvg video would be well in excess 300mb, esp if you want it at the same resolution as the actual game, not to mention the fact that you can't change your view, and causes lag during your actual observation.
A recorded gvg game run through the client is prolly barely be 10mb, and allows you to change camera angles, and the person your viewing at free will.
Theres just no comparison between the two

Maybe you have 200Gb to spare in GW videos, but not everyone does.
