Seriously? Some titles give you benefit in game from showing (or "wearing") them - for example the asura titles give you + energy in asura lands, and the higher the title the more energy you get. Norn title gets you + health in norn lands, and also make norn skills (IE ursan blessing) better. Vanguard title helps you against charr, deldrimor title helps against destroyers, lightbringer title helps you against margonites and their friends.

Some titles have a more passive effect. Your wisdom title will help when you salvage runes and mods off weapons and armor, the higher your title the less chance of breaking the item when you salvage from it. Treasure hunter and lucky both affect your rate of breaking lockpicks when you open chests.

Sunspear title is a mechanic they created to make people play through nightfall (you can't get past certain points on your own unless you reach a certain level in the title track)

The rest of the titles are just for prestige, or e-peen. "Look what I did" Or to show your accomplishment. As far as how to get them, Just play the game. You'll get plenty of titles as you go, and eventually you'll know all about them.

Champion was really the only one deserving of praise, really before the latest weekend event.

Now they're just for swinging your e-peen and giving you small benefits in PvE.

Well, I guess the only reward in titles is bragging writes and the monument you get in Hall of Monuments
