Chest of Woe/Possibility of non-inscriptable items?

I just did a run of FOW and before we all entered got a few new files for it, all the players did in our team. When we completed the run i got a Req 9 Katana which is non-inscriptable (since all items from uw or fow are inscriptable items), i get the feeling that the update we got will enable some gold items to be non-inscriptable.

I would assume the same would apply for UW, if anyone has completed a run from FOW or UW tonight and has got a non-inscritable item from the end chest let me know because this might have been just a freak drop, then again maybe not, we are talking about ANET here

Did the Katana have a mod? If not, then it was simply a bad luck item w/ no inscription.

If so, well then, that's new.

Did it have a 19% deathbane on it? because that makes it un-inscribable xD

No mods on katana, i think they updated the chest with those files we recieved, this isint good news if other players get similar items from the end chests.

If it didn't have a non changeable inherit mod, it's because there's simply no inscription slot on it. Some weapons in tyria and cantha drop without inherit mods, some weapons in nightfall and EotNdrop without inscription slots (but will have no inherit mod). It's perfectly normal.
