I've been trying to patch a few holes in my hero builds to make them more effective and I've been wondering about certain skills which I dont have time to test out. Consequently, I thought I would ask you guys! So, here goes:
How do heroes use:
["Coward!"] - Randomly, or on a moving foe?
["You're All Alone!"] - Randomly, or on a lone foe?
[Draw Spirit] - Do they just use it randomly when near a spirit, or after when moving out of range of a spirit?
[Weapon Of Shadow] - When a foe is under physical attack, or just taking damage?
[Sundering Weapon] - autocast on physical damage dealers?
[Wild Throw] - used as an unblockable attack or as a specific stance removal?
[Harrier's Toss] - randomly, or on a moving foe?
Also, this thread could be used for similar questions form other people. Anyone else have any similar queries?
How heroes use certain skills?

Coward - usually moving, but it's useless in pve.
YAA - casts regardless of alone or not.
Draw - if they get a bit from the spirit, dunno exact range
WoS - physical dmg
Sundering - attacking melee/ranged person
wild throw - on recharge
harrier's toss - on recharge if energy allows.

I noticed they'll use Wild Throw as a stance removal if they're attacking a guy using stances, otherwise they'll just spam it whenever.
As for moving foe skills, I noticed they'll use them kinda randomly (not much experience with the ones you put down, but with others).

harrier's toss - on recharge if energy allows. Correct, except for WoS: that skill is either used on allies that are adjacent to a foe (even at 100% health, making it one of the only two skills the AI actually uses as pre-protect) or simply on allies who are not at 100% health during battle.

When i try to think how heroes use the skills i would probly check out how the AI of the creeps uses it. If the monsters use it completely out of context, i'm prone to think heroes will do the same.

not the same. monsters have a set build and AI to use that build, many mobs have ai to use skill chains, heroes have a slightly different ai

This is quite true, so your best bet is to go to Isle of the Nameless and test any questionable skills with your heros there.
I think there was an entire thread on skills that the AI couldn't use effectively, I'll have to dig through search and pull it up. It was pretty helpful for awhile.

imo best place to test stuff is on the Isle of the Nameless, outside Temple of balth.
Usually take heroes there once I set a new build for them.
