Hi, i have a ton of purple rare amd greem rare items lying around that look really good but i do not know what to do with them

Put the Greens on heros or sell them to players, salvage perfect mods off the Purples and sell them to players. If they have a high req and non max modifiers merchant them.

Purple weapons don't give you max modifiers, so I would just sell to the merchant or salvage them for materials.

Takes a bit of playing to know what's good and what's not, I usually merch everything, unless I can sell it to players easily. You can usually get more gold off of merchanting items than salvaging them, so I wouldn't salvage weapons unless there is a "Highly Salvageable" inscription on it.

There are always exceptions. I've got a r9 darkwing defender with +30 hp and -5/20% and it has blue text. It didn't drop that way, but it had what I wanted... a skin I like and the ability to mod it to perfect stats.
Ultimately, its hard to say what people will find valuable. And, despite being being the same in all other aspects, two shields with the same stats will fetch different prices if one has gold text and the other has blue or purple.

Players also tend to like Magmas shields, in whatever color if they're inscriptable as well.
To get a personal idea of what players may like, no matter what the color, just observe the trade channel for a while and see what people are WTB, some also state that they don't care what color or requirement it is.

I was wielding my gold req 9 Fiery Dragon in a PUG when a guy in the group asked me where I got it. I told him and when he said he'd like to have one, I told him I had a purple max dam req 10 in storage that I had been saving for a guildie or ally, but he could have it if he wanted. We settled on a low price: I didn't need it, he admired it, and the letter color don't matter to him as much as the skin.

whites always sell,
light blues may have a good mod---so I check that first, if not then merch....
purples--same thing- they may have one good max mod, and be a crummy item in which case I salvage and if the item is left merch it, either use the mod on another item or sell it,
golds---some of these are just as bad (if not worse) than blues! some of the mods arent max others are close enough for me to put on another weapon (for me +19 is good enough--and heroes dont care either)....so then I check out the item---max? nope ->merch unless it has a 'rare' skin or good mods? yes->salvage, nope sell the whole thing.
greens cannot be salvaged and most can be sold to other players.....some have almost completely lost value due to over farming and just not being very good to begin with.

If your planing on using a purple item customize it, if not then merch it.
There are a few rare skins that can be sold to players as purples, but very few and the value is not often worth the effort.
