Ra Draws?
Toxage
What is the deal with RA draws?
Every match I have gone into in the past hour has been a draw. The opposing teams are sometimes even three or four monks, which results in a draw.
Has anyone else been getting massive draw streaks?

The easiest way to get points in RA is to play a monk. Since this is a farming weekend, many players might be playing monks. The more monks, the higher the probability of a draw.

Play TA.

It's a waste of everyone's time but they still won't resign even when I explain what the outcome will be.

Hehe. Here is the thing. Even when there are a ton of monks on the other team, often times in RA those monks aren't that good. If you have two guys on your team that do good spike damage, you can get at least one kill.
Its annoying and frustrating, but beating a monk heavy team in RA is not impossible if you either a) spike or b) out pressure the heals.

Surplus of monks in RA.

If luck favours you and you miraculously end up with a team of people that know how to play the game, you can easily take down a monk.

I don't know why people don't resign. I think that players don't know that there is a resign option in the game. No one could be so thick headed to waste 8 minutes playing a game they know they will lose.... Right?

It would also be nice if the match-up part of the software weighted players based on (to make it most simple) profession, averaged the total number of "healers" (Presumably giving a hybrid healing class like rit or para, or secondary class like /Mo a value a little less than a monk, 0.5 or something) and then divided them up so we don't have these 3 monk teams. I'd even be fine with waiting one additional 30-second round to get this together, if it makes teams just a little more evened out.
Yeah. And on a related note, I'd much like it if balance were changed in terms of game mechanics or skills so that this sort of turtling becomes much more difficult. I want pvp to be bloodbaths, not epic-length pillowfights.

It's not really RA based, it happens in TA also. |

A moderately skilled player with a good bar monking in RA is imba, that's the given reality, always has been, no change necessary. Funny that when these bonus weekends roll around and suddenly all these monks come out of the woodwork, most bad players, but good enough with another monk in the party to slow things down. No gripe with folks who regularly monk in arenas btw, but if you are running a monk just because it's a bonus weekend, I think you are kinda lame IRL... and if you consciously choose to play a spirit spamming rit during a weekend like this, there is a special circle in hell for people like you... and it is very cold and painful (the foregoing not addressed to anyone in the thread, just wanted to vent some)

RA is a waste of time. Go do TA. More fun when you actually win.
Solas

At least the couple of times I've gotten 3 or 4 monk teams (my team and against), they've all been decent enough to resign or at least not heal anyone.
I play RA somewhat regularly, and monk is one of the classes I usually play, but this weekend I haven't been playing it as much because there's too many other people out there right now (even though most suck). It's hard to find a team with good damage dealing this weekend.
Seems like it's gotten a little better since Friday afternoon at least.

Yeah, lately I've always had at least two monks on my team (one being myself). Many other teams have also had around that many monks. I guess people think they will be able to get points easiest monking.
