Survivor and Dwarven Boxing Help

I am planning on getting survivor title by doing the Draven Boxing Farm. However does the AR or your character really make a difference because i would like to get a Necro Survivor. (Dont think ive seen any of them lol)
But if a higher AR is needed then it will mean i will have to get a warrior or Paragon lol.
Help would be great.

For levels 10-20 your armor doesn't matter because you will have the "Journey to the North" buff on. After you hit level 20, it will matter, so I would suggest mapping to Boreal Station and picking up a temporary set of max level armor from the crafter there. Unless you like getting knocked on your butt after 3 or 4 hits.

hmm change of plan then i think i will get a Dervish Survivor then. =) (can you get Max AR armour in EoTN/Keineng Centre for Derv)

I think you can get Max armor in Boreal Station for Dervish too.

To be honest, when playing my Monk vs. my Warrior in there, the added armor seemed to help. Though it didn't help enough that it would affect my primary proffession choice were I to do it again. Basically, it seemed to me my Warrior could absorb maybe one or two more attacks than my Monk.

yeah higher armor is easier, but you can buy brawler insignia's which give+10 armor vs physical and then u have higher armor

If you wanna stick with necro, you could do the frost wurms outside boreal station. With a degen build killing the 12 of them take about 5 min.

You get it even faster if you have HM unlocked and if you use XP scrolls.

The AR level isn't really that important in the dungeon. I got my r3 survivor with my monk (not even A secondary.) easily, maximum of 2 KD's per run in HM.

The walkthrough on wiki has some tips for it. Although, armor won't save you if your pc freezes or you disconnect. Deaths: 1. >.<

10 minutes ago I got the title with mesmer . Though it will be easier and therefore shorter with a char with more AL it's still very easy to do, if you dont have extremely bad lags. With a mesmer I didn't face any real difficulty.
and as people said, use +armor insignias.
And if you use skill 1 correctly you shouldn't die at all.

I'm getting the title with my necro (got Rank 2 in 1 day), and I'm doing this on HM , not getting problems actually.

Also take a hero Scroll(600exp a kill) or scroll of the lightbringer(700exp a kill)
Just Don't aggro everything at the same time (KILRROOOYYYYYY WAY)

i would like survivor on 1 of my chars but im guessing id lag and die thx to i get as low as 1fps and 4k ping LOL!

There is no Derv armor in Factions. Boreal Station however does have 1k max armor for Derv and 4 other prestige sets scattered around EoTN.

But the 60 AL on caster armor is fine for getting survivor through boxing. More armor just makes it quicker.
