Ban Appeals?

Is there someway I can appeal a ban? Because I really don't feel like waiting 2 weeks for it to end because of minor innapropriate language. Anet is unfair for banning someone that long for such a stupid reason.

Dont even try. Anet dont care about who or why they ban.. i have a perm on an account i sent a good 10 help tickets.. just not worth the hassle wait it out

Makes me wonder now if you have been banned before for inappropriate language. I remember reading one of the past dev notes that mention how your time-outs keep increasing each time they have to ban your account for something.

He was banned for a week for an inappropriate character name. So I just wonder how offensive he was to make a second ban. There's definitely more to the story than he's letting on.

Still, I suppose that story's for Support.

A 13 and a fourth day ban. Classic! lol But ya it does beg the question exactly how "minor" is minor? Because 318 hours is not the normal ban for inappropriate language.

I'm guessing the OP's definition of "minor" isn't the same as A-Nets.

I don't think Anet would decide to agree to lessen the term, just because someone doesn't feel like waiting out the duration of the ban.

Well, I only recall cursing in self defense. ex. "F*** Off" or "Shut the f*** up". I never really direct to anyone unless I'm really pissed. (which rarely happens)

Anet's reasoning still has me confused. Hell, a 2 week ban should be the result of racial slurs, not innapropriate language. I mean seriously, everyone curses. I go into RA and I see people cursing back and forth at eachother, I wonder if they got banned for 2 weeks.

maybe take some anger managment classes in your two weeks? possibly read a dictionary and expand your vocabulary. smart people dont swear, they have better words.

Doesn't matter how you did it, point is you did it and you got banned for it. Suck up the two weeks and make note not to curse anymore. Period.

I don't, especially not when there's someone apt to report it, as opposed to the case you present. Maybe next time you'll watch the mouth.

Swearing on local is asking to get banned these days, also it does seem odd that your cooldown period is alot longer than your average "inappropriate language" ban.

Only support can answer your questions and advice you properly because they know both sides of the story.
