Been trying to H&H this with no luck. Has anyone been able to H&H this in HM? Have searched the forums and can find very little on this mission in HM.

Thanks,

what heroes are you using and what build are you running etc and what henchies do you have?
its much easier if you get a guildie with heroes to go with you.

i did it with h/h. i brought koss as a swordsman, livia as minion bomb, sousuke as nuker, 2 monk henchmen, and 2 ele henchmen. strategy was basically the same as in normal mode.

for normal mode, i and my team walked over to the harbinger at the top of the stairs while ignoring the first 2 harbingers. in hm, i killed those 2 harbingers instead since they tend not to break aggro so easily. then the strategy was pretty much the same as in nm.

need exact builds,
what build are you running and are your heroes running.
post the skills + attributes, runes/insignias on heroes (it will be a LOT easier if your have your heroes runed)

Kill as few harbringers as you can until the end, as the 2 minute margonite patrols increase in size in relation to the number of dead harbringers. You can easily run past the first one (flag heroes) and lose aggro, although personally I couldn't run past the second - had to kill it and the margonite group nearby.

After that it's just a case of careful aggro. In the first stage kill the third harbringer and base yourself where it was. Camp there with flags and pull in the surrounding groups, alternating a group then waiting to kill a patrol, then another group and so on. When all margs your side of harbringers 4 and 5 are dead, move up slightly (don't aggro harbs) and pull a group from the other side of the trench with a bow and kill them. When all margs that you can reach to aggro from your side are dead, run past a harb (you can get past the one on the right without aggroing it, or alternatively hit one with blind or weakness and run through - it will lose aggro reasonably quickly. Flag your team into the middle of the closest centre bridge.

Now, do what you did before - alternate pulling and killing nearby marg groups with waiting for and killing 2 minute patrols. Make sure you pull down and kill the margonite groups on the stairs next to the bonus harbs too, which you can do from below. Make sure they all follow, I have missed masters before as a marg bowman remained behind here and I didn't notice. It is totally possible to get every single margonite group without aggroing the harb of nightfall.

Once all margs are dead, leave your team where it is to catch marg patrols, and run back to get a light of sebhorin. Using two lights to reduce the harb of nightfall to 1/3 of its original health. Take care that you don't create an aggro bridge between it and your team (ie approach it carefully and lead it away from your team when you run to break aggro). This is a little easier if you can blind / weaken / cripple it so it's potential to kill you is reduced.

When it is at 1/3 health, it's time to go for the kill. DO THIS BIT AS QUICK AS YOU CAN. Your team should be perfectly fine to catch and kill all marg patrols without you. Get a light, and go and kill one of the two harbs (number 4 and 5) that you previously ran past. This will make a spirit spawn at its corpse, and give you a closer point to grab lights from. Grab lights and kill the two bonus harbs as quick as you can, then grab a third light and finish the harb of nightfall - mission over.

I didn't bother with party speed boosts. I think I went with two MMs and Koss with a dslash build. I took a bsurge build. Probably two monks, earth and fire or illusion as hench. LBgaze helps of course, and remember to switch your lightbringer title on.

Seriously, once you get in rhythm of pulling and killing groups alternately with waiting on and killing patrols, this mission is no bother - even in hard mode.

I killed all the Harbingers in range. Once taking the upper level middle, I alternated between killing a spawn and pulling a few mobs from one of the side groups and killing it. Eventually, both side groups were dead, at which point I soloed the side Harbingers with heroes/hench flagged in the middle.

Then push for the last Harbinger and kill it. I brought multiple lights up to the middle before attacking. Basically the same thing as Bifter did, but I didn't want to save Harbingers - seemed like excess trouble.

avoid killing unnecessary harbinger like in nm. to do this in hm i brought you move like a dwarf. no other changes from nm strategy in wiki.

Great! Thanks for the tips. I'll give these a shot in the next couple of days. Last mission I need for guardian!

Ya, if you just sprint past the unneeded harbingers except for the 2 for the lights, its real easy. I can also verify that Avarre's method works fine, but it is a bit more tedious trying to kill just a few in between every spawns, where if you skip some harbingers you can do a 4/4 split easily

Kill stationary group.
Wait for a mobile group.

If you take too long to kill a stationary group, wait. There is no rush, patience > this mission.

I found that you need to be efficient in killing the the patrols so you have enough time to rush up to kill the bonus harbingers. I ran 2 MM's (the one from Sabway, just drop the prot skills on one for resto rit skills), just so if I had to run back I could leave the minions to occupy the group while we got out.

Thanks! I was able to complete using these tips. I ran past the 1st 2 harbingers, killed the 1 at the top of the stairs and the other that is to the right. After that, just careful pulling and it was a breeze. Team was myself (Warrior using DS+SY build), Koss, 2 MM heros, 2 hench monks, devona (for charge) and a hench fire ele. Worked great. Key was to skip the 1st 2 harbingers to keep the rovers to a manageable size. Thanks again!
