My guess is they they have some web design company handle the design of their site. These places tend to be Flash-happy, since they can charge more for the "interactive" experience. In any case, it's meant to be a marketing site, to sell their product, so I don't have an issue with excessive use of Flash.

I just wish they test their site in multiple browsers! Looks like absolute crap in Firefox 2.0...
