i have a fire wand
half skill recharge fire 20%
half casting time fire 20%

if i also use a fire focus
with the same stats
Droknar's Fire Focus HSR Fire Magic 20% - HCT Fire Magic 20%

would 1 set of stats cancell out the other...
or woudl i get a total of 40/40 total?

not quite.

for 4% of the time (20% X 20%), you'll get a double half skill recharge.

so if we use the exclusion principle:

A union B = A + B - (A intersection B) = 20% + 20% - 4% = 36%

overall, you have a 36% chance of your skills recharging faster.

well i have a droks fire scepter 20/20 with 20% customised..
my current focus is en storage 12 - +30 -
half skill recharge en storage 20%

would u stick with that focus or change for

You are very close. For HCT you will have 4% quarter casting time, 32% half casting time; for HSR you will have 36% half skill recharge (there is no quarter skill recharge).

Definately HCT, you're in the back row so you shouldn't have much aggro and the monks should be able to cover what you do get.
