had a 630 once, using inferno when lvl 20, helping a friend in minister cho's estate, i think it was on one of the frenzy using afflicted guards, or possibly one of the afflicted animals with little to no armour.

no screen shot unfortunately, didnt stay up for long.

wearing no armor while under frenzy while being hit by the catapult in the GvG map can hit for around ~4000 damage.

Highest PvE only one time hit Damage is 1337 Damage to the Indestructable Golem in Oolas lab (I think)

Frenzied while heal sigging with no armor being hit by the catapult. Fun times.

Also:

That one is a massive spike by me with 7 characters worth of buffers/debuffers helping me out. Was fun to organize.

Fear the power of PvE only skills. Could easily add another 200 damage or so to it.

about 30k-40k dmg in 1 second.

the N/A shadowstep glitch b4 they nerfed it.

baisicaly you took shadow walk and dash with cultists fevor and (i think) any necro enchants with a 1/4 or 1/2 casting time and dark aura, and you set up a mouse button so that when u click once it actualy clicks 3000 times in 1 second.
you use cultists fevor and dark aura, get the monk to cast MoP of you, and then shadow walk in and then click on the fast casting enchantment, and BOOM everything dies. this dont work any more tho cause they fix shadow walk so that you CANT cast enchantments ( b4 it said that you cant cast them but it actualy did cast them it just ended stright away) and they changed Dark Aura so it was actualy health lost and not damage taken.

i recall reading in wiki that the Golem at the end of Oola's Lab and the 1337 dmg you can deal him per hit is the highest single hit dmg ingame.... at least without doing buffs, and other stuff to see what you can come up with. LEET = 1337 fyi

Actually, you wouldn't deal that much dmg without a monk arcane echoing Mark of Protection on you.

Plus, people used any enchantment. Why? It didn't matter, cast time was not important as you never started casting it. But the game ,,thought'' that you did, so it correctly stole life from everything around you. And life sacrifice was bugged, game treated it as damage so you could prot yourself with MoP. And you can't that easily set mouse to 3k clicks without screwing up everything else. Just set enchantments under Space, click and tap space + number at the same time.

My highest non-setup damage in pve was my mes (16 dom) against a GW:EN Charr Firestarter (or whatever the meteor shower guys are called) for about 258 damage with aneurysm. Interrupted attunement, interrupted shower with power leak, hit with E-surge, and i think another interrupt, then hit with Aneurysm. Well he died and I thought "Oh dam!"

Pain Inverter on Stone Summit Herder as he did Giant Stomp that hit 10 minions, 8 characters, and one NPC on the way to SF:

80*(10+8+1)=1520

I had a screen filled ith 80s. It was awesome.

I farm glacial stone vaettirs. In HM there are 60 level 26 vaettirs. I round them up into 2 groups, when your not body blocked. then those 2 earth spells (106 damage, 3/4sec cast). so (30x106)2 = +6000 damage in less than 2secs.

I hit a spear of torment for around 450 a couple of days ago while skill capping on my Rit. Was set up as a Rt/A with SS, "I Am The Strongest!", Asuran Scan, and my r8 Lightbringer active. He used Call to the Torment and went BOOM!

In the same fight i took around 700HP off the assassin boss i was going for in around 1.5 secs. Good times

It's fun when you hit a lvl28-30 something for that sort of damage with no buffs other than your own.

As for highest possible damage in general play, i'd have to say the Flux Matrix in Elusive Golemancer aswell. 1337 damage in one hit is pretty big. You can get higher on yourself by removing your armour, using frenzy, etc... but that's not what you'd find if you were actually playing. Unless you were some other kind of stupid
