It looks like NcSoft came out with NcCoin for Exteel. Do we know if this is going to be an option they will be allowing for GW2? Or are they going to keep the current game model for GW2? Some inquiring minds want to know...

For those too lazy to trawl through the thread that Fril linked: No. NCCoin will not be a part of the Guild Wars 2 business model.

Thanks for actually correcting me JR! I should know better by now than solely giving the link to the thread, as people would have been confused even more.

No NCoin in GW2. That is clear

On the contrary; you should be quite happily unconcerned about the whole thing untill someone from Anet announces that they will in fact be using it - as unlikely as that is.

There is no reason at all to assume that they will or might. Whilst NCSoft does own ArenaNet, they have no real control over the design direction or business model of the game. Honestly I don't think they would want to attempt fitting NCCoin into the Guild Wars business model even if they could.

NCCoin is designed as a way for their free to obtain/play games to make them a bit of money, purely for games that have no other way of creating revenue. The Guild Wars Chapters/Expansions model alone is enough to support the game and make ArenaNet a healthy profit - and every indication so far says that Guild Wars 2 will follow the same path.
