dont know might work but why not try whit the one available at www.guildwars.com for better security or install the game whit your discs

its look it would be updated as of sometime in july of 07 Guild Wars Client Full Install (July 2007) so i dont know how much that would help you cause it will still have to download the updates since that time period

The client install program is just a few 100k download, there should be no problem at all downloading it so I'd advise you to always go to the main GW server:

Do not confuse this program, which only gives you the basic GW.exe, with the rest of the game file. Once you run the "basic" gw.exe, it will then download the 3,5Go+ files of the game (gw.dat).

i think the ops problem is with it downloading the updates after
the program downloads form the Guildwars.com website
so he is asking if that would be a better way to get the updated version of the game
but that one isnt fully updated either its only till sometime in july of 07
i expect it form when they added the eotn content to the dat file

no i downloading the full game,
i try download first from the gw site, i down the zip file and exe the .exe, but the download speed is 5/10 kbps, 3,5GB at this speed will take a looooooong time. at gamers i get 90/120 kbps...

Sorry, I didn't see that gamershell.com had a full copy of the GW files. It's a website I know but I wouldn't recommend going this (you can still do it but it's at your own risk as there may be a security issue with the GW.exe file, though I'm not sure). Use the CDs if you have a boxed version of GW, or get the files from a friend's GW folder.
For improving speed, try to download the files at a different time. The GW servers may be busy with people atm.
